After a man tried to steal my car overnight I purchased this the next day. It works so well. The item is made from a strong material and this would take a while to be cut by a saw. It only takes about 5 seconds of your time to put on. Recommended!

I read some negative reviews about this either not locking correctly or the key not working and going through a headache getting it off so you can actually use your car.Before I get into my review, I would like to mention that this brake pedal lock is one of the better ideas in inexpensive car security. For the random break-ins, where thiefs are looking to vandalize your car and steal some expensive gps systems, this wont do much as they don’t want the car, they want valuables in it. However, if you live in an area with rampant car thefts, this can mean the different between going to where you parked your car and seeing your car and going to where you parked your car and instantly knowing that your day, week, and month are probably ruined.So my review is 5 stars because I received this as expected. I used free economy shipping and transit time was as expected from west coast to east coast via ups ground. Its not fast, but it is reliable and predictably. I got the item in good condition, it was in a plastic cover with a paper insert. The item itself feels durable and not flimsy at all. It is about 5 pounds. It is easy to lock it to your brake pedal, but you have to make sure it is tight and propped up against a part of your floor board that wont allow potential thieves to just wriggle this off without facing the headache of braking the lock or your brake pedal to get it off. Just FYI, the brake pedal is a solid piece of steel on all cars and this is a design to ensure safe operation. If your brake pedal cracks and falls off during operation, you make get into an accident and will have a case against the car manufacturer, so just take a look at your brake pedal and you will know what I mean.Just lock it tight and wriggle it around so it sits flush with the floor board. I think it is worth the 27 dollars and change. If you happen to break your key trying to unlock it, you are in for a different story. I was nervous about that, and still am every time I go to unlock it, but so far so good. If you live in a high crime city or area, I think its a worthwhile investment to protect one of your most valuable, useful, and important possessions.

This is my third car club that I have purchased, and I am fairly satisfied with it.I have a 1994 Honda Accord, which is very high-theft. I religiously use at least one club out of necessity.This one is sturdy. It is the heaviest of the ones that I own, and the design and material just seem to be better overall quality as well. The other two clubs that I have purchased came with a very thin key that felt very cheap (like aluminum). The key for this item is thicker and has more of a house-key type feel (material wise). Also, you get three keys with this item, whereas the others I have purchased only came with two. This club is simple to use. I did put some effort into removing the club to check its ability as a deterrent. It was very impressive and barely budged.Unlike other reviewers, I have not had any issues with this item’s key cylinder. The lock seems very solid and has not given me any issue after months of use.One thing worth mentioning is that this item can make your car more difficult to get into, because you lose a lot of legroom having this installed. Normally this is not an issue, but if you park on a busy street and have only moments to swing the door open, hop inside, and close the door–well, you might be getting shin-checked by the red steel bar. Of course, my sedan is smaller than some other vehicles, and it really only applies if you are rushing into the car, so this will be a non-issue for most people.I will update this review should something change in the future, but overall I am happy with this purchase.

I can actually say that this device saved my car from being stolen.I drive a late 90s Honda Civic. While they are dependable and not really glamorous, they are a commonly stolen car because they are fairly easy to steal and the demand for parts. Knowing this, I have had this for the past few years and always put it on when not in my garage. I had been using it for years with no problems though no test to really know how effective it might be. That was until a few weeks ago when I went to my car and noticed my papers strewn everywhere, glovebox and storage opened and the brake lock in a different position than I had left it (I always pull it very hard and as straight up as I can (I don’t like it parallel to the ground). Looking at my brake pedal, the thief must have been struggling a bit to wrestle this off as they had bent my brake pedal quite a bit though they couldn’t get it off. The thief then went through the car looking for the key (which I keep on my keychain with the carkeys).So I can honestly say that this item saved my car from being stolen. Thanks to this experience, I’ve bought another anti-theft device (one that also goes around the brake pedal and locks to the steering wheel) along with a ignition and fuel system cut-off.

The brake seems like a great anti-theft device and I am glad that I have purchased it BUT…Be careful if you have an older vehicle. After setting the Club and doing some work on my car I noticed that for some reason my brake lights were saying illuminated even when the car was completely turned off!!I was concerned and started by insuring the fuse was working fine.I then did some googling and found that there is a brake pedal switch near the top of the brake pedal “arm” which is either in an down (when the brake is being applied) or up (when the brake is not being applied) position.What I believe happened is the force being applied “upward” onto the switch caused it to either loosen or fail in some way.The amount of force that the Club locks into brake can be quite great and force the brake pedal into a higher locked position than your older car may be used to.However, this is definitely NOT a deal breaker as I am more than pleased with the Club’s construction and it was a simple fix for the brake pedal switch.

モノは良さそうだったのですが、残念ながら私の車両ではブレーキペダルのアーム部分？の幅が車両側の方が太く、使用できませんでした。ちなみに輸入車です。別の車両での使用を検討します。外箱を開封した際、包装部の一部破損はありましたが、商品自体は問題ありませんでしたので、気にしておりません。

Es el segundo bastón que compro de esta marca, el primero lo adquirí en una tienda en los Estados Unidos y me duro 14años, si todo ese tiempo me dio servicio, cambie de autos y conservaba el bastón ya que son muy seguros y su mecanismo por naturaleza hacen que sea casi imposible para los ladrones tratar de quitarlo.El motivo por el cual compre nuevamente este bastón y de la misma marca, fue que al anterior se le bloqueo el sistema de la llave. Normal, después de usarlo a diario por tanto tiempo, cumplió con sus años de buen servicio.Este nuevo es un poco diferente en apariencia ya que el anterior era totalmente cromado y este es rojo. El mecanismo es el mismo, lo colocas para bloquear el pedal del freno, en mi caso y como lo muestro en las fotos, lo pongo en el pedal del clutch (embrague).La verdad son muy buenos, solidos como piedra, no creo que se encuentre un sistema que les complique tanto la vida a los ladrones para llevarse tu auto. Vale la pena la inversión.
