The tank fit my Honda EB5000X generator perfectly. A little smaller in volume than the original, it was a perfect fit. I did have to get a longer fuel line — as I said, the gas tank has a smaller volume and the fuel line connection a few inches further away than the original tank. With all that said, when I had it all installed, I fueled it up and ran the generator. After testing I went to roll it back to the garage and when I tilted it slightly to roll, the gas poured out of the cap. I did all I could do but could not get the gas cap to seal. So I broke down and ordered the original Honda tank — lesson learned, get what works and quit trying to save a buck when it always seems to cost me more in the end.

I purchased this tank as a replacement for my Predator 7000/8750 model 86525 generator. It arrived in perfect condition but missing the screws to attach to fuel gauge to the tank. The seller was responsive to my request for the screws and actually sent out an entire accessories pack (strainer, gas cap, bushings, fuel gauge and screws). The screws sent were to small in diameter to use which was disappointing. The seller offered a partial refund to get the screws locally. I did find the screws locally at Fastenal size (M6-1.0 bevel head/6mm). The tank fit perfectly.

My 25 year old generator had a plastic one gallon tank that has weathered many uses after hurricanes. My generator will run for 3 hours on one gallon, which meant fueling it in the middle of the night when the power is out. When the old tank cracked, I found this one on line. It is very sturdily constructed, and the float is accurate. Since it holds 7 gallons, I didn’t have to refill it but every 21 hours after Hurricane Zeta (a month after I purchased it). Very happy with this product!

This was a very satisfying purchase!I ordered this item twice from another company that was $5 cheaper on Amazon. Each time the package arrived the corners of the tank were bent and paint cracked off at the bend. Huge waste of my time and repackaging and returns.Installation was simple and size was an exact match to my old tank that was rusted I. This interior. I have not yet actually put gasoline in it or used the petcock.I’m hopeful this all works out.
