    Not A Name

The petcock itself is pretty dang nice, actually. It looks to be an exact copy or OEM supplier piece of the original EX500. I’ll keep the post updated if anything goes wrong with it, but it seems like a good component. The “fuel lines” and “fuel filter” that come with it, though, are 100% garbage. Do not bother with them for any reason. Throw them directly into the trash as soon as you get your hands on them.

The switch is stiff and with enough force, the stops on the switch aren’t effective. The back vent tube is adjustable for different directions!! Filter showed up cracked so I had to buy a new one.

Petcock seal began to leak after about one week.Anytime the bike is running there was a nonstop leak from the grey seal between the rubber seals for the vacuum. Unusable

Bolted up fine. Don’t use lock washers on the bolts they made mine leak. Don’t know why. Throw the hoses and filter away. Filter leaks and hoses are to big and also flimsy. Michigan.

for near the same price as the petcock rebuild kit, the whole petcock is included; glad I chose this route. the build quality of this replacement seems OEM and the fit was perfect (one tip, use the washers from the old petcock else it may leak at the screws). I didn’t use the fuel line or filter provided as there isn’t really enough room for a filter and the hose seemed like it was made of a different material than the old stuff. for the price and a short afternoon install, I’m pleased with this purchase. No more flooded carbs for me ant this bike is back on the road.

First of all, the tubes that come with it are air tubes, not fuel tubes. The tubes froze up and cracked before I realized that. Second, the gaskets aren’t cut right. Third the diaphragm doesn’t pump the fuel right, if at all. This thing might work as a non-functioning visual replica but not in practice. I’m warning you, do not waste your money!
