If you are having AFM/DFM issues like we have all had in our GM vehicles, this is the device you want. How it compares to other manufactures of similar devices, I cannot comment on. However, Holley Performance, who I believe is the parent company who manufactures these devices, is the best name in the business when it comes to anything and everything tuning related.This device is beyond easy to use as you simply plug it in, and forget it. Instead of the jerky shifting between V8 and V4 cylinder modes in my 2015 Silverado, it keeps my truck in V8 mode all the time. Gas mileage may be slightly worse, you’re driving a V8 pickup, but who cares. Not having to (hopefully) not rebuild the top end of my engine when the lifters collapse again will pay this little gadget off 10X over again. I would highly recommend this to all GM truck owners with the 5.3 to delete V4 mode.

No BS, literally plug and play.All-time V8 is superb, even in places like parking lots not having to step on the pedal just to move a bit is great. The 5.3 sounds great too when it’s firing on all cylinders.

Liked that I now have 8 cylinders for passing without the bogging. Mileage has not changed. When coming up to stop signs and lights I find that it downshifts a little harder than it did before.

Haven’t had any issues with corvette switching into v4 since install.. I don’t remove it after driving and haven’t noticed any issues with battery drain.. the lites go out once car is off so idk if it is even still powered but it definitely works and worth the $200 to not have to rebuild motor from AFM

easy install,instantly sounded different, better performance all across the board,truck shifts better, gas mileage on day to day driving was a tad bit better,on a highway trip towing an atv trailer my gas mileage wasnt as good but a decent trade off for better power on the hills, will i keep it installed? most definatley!

Lowered my fuel mileage but engine drives and shifts much better now. Engine even sounds better when cruising on interstate. I drive a 2018 5.3ltr. GMC Sierra

It plugs in easily but I read it will drain the battery if the truck sits too long so I have to take it out too often.

After reviewing their website for Range, it said their disablers will work for both V6/V8 engines. However, after purchasing and not noticing much difference I asked their customer service if it was compatible, it is not.
