We used these straps to secure our BMW R1200GSA on our motorcycle trailer and our hitch mounted motorcycle lift. They worked well for two short trips. And, we did like the softer material to protect our forks. But, look at how the carabiner snapped in the middle of our latest trip. These were the two straps that secured our front wheel in the chock to secure the motorcycle on the lift. Thankfully, the other two straps on the rear provided enough stability to balance the motorcycle precariously on our two mountain bikes which were secured by their Thule bike rack. That was all that kept the motorcycle from flying off our lift and becoming very catastrophic. We chose these due to the security of the carabiner mounting system. However, after seeing what happened, we wouldn’t feel comfortable recommending these for anyone securing an adventure bike, a street bike, or anything really heavier than a smaller dirt bike. Only reason for the two star, instead of a one star, is that the soft loop tie down and the ratchet did actually stay together, although it was barely secured after the carabiners snapped.
