They circulate transmission fluid to cool the oil as runs through the radiator. The lines are always metal Dia 5/16 tubing and in some rare cases 3/8? dia tubing.If old lines are kinked or rusted this can cause harm to the transmission. Rubber hose IS NOT a good repair since the rubber expands and contracts and will fail over time. If your line does have short rubber , should be the correct high temp / pressure transmission hose.
