it was a genuine GM part but it was the wrong part. This was the incorrect transmission cooling line fitting for the radiator on my 2001 Buick Regal. I was going to replace all of the cooling system parts anyway so I threw in the towel on this one. I’m going to toss the one I got in the garbage and get on with life. One has to pick their battles. The fitting on the right is the correct part. The fitting on the left is what was shipped. I saw that they were different based on the image supplied. I thought there had been a part revision. The part on the left was indicated as the correct part on GMpartsgiant also. Hey, ya can’t win ’em all.

I ended up re-working the original connectors because these arrived a little too late. They will in fact work on the 2009 G8 GT radiator if you are in doubt. Just order them ahead of time before you take out the rad and have them on hand when you need them.

This fixed the leak for the trans cooler attachment at the radiator on my 2010 gmc acadia! Very easy install once you can get to the part.
