I bought a “universal” cigarette lighter socket for my 2014 Chevy Cruze because my front socket stopped working due to poor maintenance on my part. The plug is specific and this product fits perfectly. Unless you have more severe electrical issues and need to completely rewire the socket and replace it, this is the only replacement piece you should need. It snaps right into place and is super easy to remove if needed. I never had to replace the backseat cigarette lighter socket but I’d assume it would be the same as the front. I haven’t had any issues so far but will update the review if it dies for some reason. Kinda mad I didn’t spend the $7 to fix this years ago, it was so simple.

Amazon said this wouldn’t fit in my 2005 GMC Sierra 1500. Lies… lol. I’m glad I didn’t listen. Perfect fit and super easy install. Should’ve done it a couple years ago! Works perfectly. Thanks for a great product at a great price.

Even though Amazon said it wouldn’t fit my truck, a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, I already knew it would by the part number. I’ve had the same issue in the past. Always go by part number. That being said, it was the right part and a perfect fit and works properly. Cheaper on here than from A1Auto. Genuine GM part. I couldn’t be happier.

The part did fit and work after installation. However, you need the tool to remove the old part. Another brand name does sell the part along with the tool to remove the old part.
