A great cheap and easy to operate alternative, to the OEM equipment. However, you must take your tension setting from a correctly adjusted belt in the first place, to obtain the correct tension, unless there are instructions provided with belts, that are specifically for the use of the Krikit Tension Gauge.I have only been using this gauge for a short time, but happy that it is consistently giving the correct reading when I check my Spyder drive belt.

Accurate. gives a great consistant base line for belt adjustment. Had to you-tube to figure out how to use it. directions assume you know? insert your index finger in the rubber finger holder and push down until it clicks. Then look at your reading.

Works just like advertised. Inexpensive way to maintain a flat belt.

Works great. go slow. I have to get another something fell off the back of it while it was in my pocket and now it no longer clicks. Keep it out of your pockets i guess.

inexpensive and compact.Does the job of much fancier, much more expensive tools and much better than just guessing belt tension.

As with all the best tools this is both simple and very effective. There are some excellent ‘how to’ videos on Youtube if in any doubt how to use this but it really is simple – just make sure the blue plastic arm is flush (flat) before when you commence pressing down to acheive the ‘click’ and you will get an accurate reading.Highly recommended for the amateur spanner-man and this is especially useful when checking the serpentine belt on Jeep XJ Cherokees which require surprisingly tight belts (140-150lbs)

Simple to use, but you need to follow instructions carefully. Also check result at least 3 times to ensure accuracy.

Not much to these gauges but they are simple and effective.

I’m a machinist, so I know how to use a gauge, and understand how this one works (in theory), but like another reviewer, I never got a reading above 100# (despite increasing tension substantially). Tested other cars with 6PK belts and spring tensioners and tried to set my car with 6PK belt and manual tensioner, all measured 100# with the gauge, but my car with the manual tensioner is far far tighter.
