I didn’t need extra spouts but i do like the idea of having flexible ones vs the rigid ones that came with my gas cans. WHat I really wanted was to add vents to my plastic gas cans. In the past I have used valve stems with the core removed. The problem with that is the gas fumes weaken the rubber the stems are made from and sooner or later they fall apart. Also having to unscrew the cap to open the vent is a bit slow. Finally installing the valve stems is a bit hard as they have to be inserted from the inside. These vents push in from the outside and are plastic. So they should last much longer. The caps are connected by a strap so they can’t easily be lost. They sit flush to the can so they are much less likely to get caught on stuff. Over all they work well. The supplied drill bit easily makes the right sized hole. Just make sure your gas can is empty and dry. You will get some plastic from the can inside it. You really want to get it out of the can before you fill it with gas. Otherwise you’ll end up with plastic in your fuel tank that could cause issues.
