Is there an App included with the item?
Currently no. You have to get a compatible third-party App from the App Store or Google Play Store (some may NOT be free). Also what features you can get mainly depends on your chosen App. Please refer to the user instructions.
-
What vehicles are supported when using it with BimmerCode or BimmerLink App?
Currently only 2008+ models are supported for the two apps. Additionally, G series (G01, G01, G03, G20, G30, etc.) is not fully supported in BimmerCode. Please refer to the app official page for detailed compatibility.
-
Does it work on electric vehicles?
It can work on most EVs, but it requires a proper App, for example Car Scanner ELM OBD2 (with the appropriate EV connection profiles), Dr Prius, ABRP (iOS version), EVNotify, LeafSpy, MyGreenVolt, EV Watchdog, etc.
-
Does it read transmission temperature or other manufacturer-specific PIDs?
The transmission (fluid) temperature is a manufacturer specific PID so it’s not read by most generic OBD2 Apps. Please refer to user instructions or contact support for help.

Common Troubleshooting
1. Device does not power up (no blue light).
First check if the cigar fuse of your vehicle is in good condition to provide power. You can also try with another vehicle to verify.
2. When I try to connect “VEEPEAK” with my iPhone or iPad, it tells me it is not supported.
This device uses Bluetooth LE for iOS devices and requires connecting in the App. You will see this error when trying to connect from iOS Bluetooth Settings. Please restart your iOS device so “VEEPEAK” shows up again, then start the OBD App to connect (refer to the setup guide in product images or installation manual).
3. Could not pair my Android device with “VEEPEAK”.
Turn off Bluetooth and turn it back on. Try pairing a few more times; Turn off WiFi & cellular data and try again; Disconnect other Bluetooth devices; Restart your Android device; Clear Bluetooth data cache (Settings > Apps > More options > Show system apps > Bluetooth > Storage> Clear data); For Android 13+, go to Settings->Apps->App Battery Usage, Select Show System in the menu, Select Bluetooth, then select Unrestricted. Go back and select Bluetooth Legacy, and select Unrestricted also. For Car Scanner ELM OBD2 or Infocar App, you can initiate the Bluetooth pairing in App settings.
4. App not connecting to Veepeak device.
Make sure the App is compatible, and you have made the correct App connection settings and granted the App permissions (Bluetooth for iOS, Devices nearby for Android); Remove and re-install the app (especially when you have an OS update or the App is not used for some time); Try with a different App.
5. Cannot connect to vehicle/ECU.
Make sure the OBD port is in good condition and the device fits well in it. Try to push it a little harder into the OBD port if the contact is loose as powering up does not always mean a good fit. Make sure your vehicle is OBD II compliant, and ignition is turned ON; Check if your vehicle is supported by the App; Try it on another vehicle.

Ah, the Veepeak OBDCheck, a gadget that promises to demystify your car’s cryptic messages and turn you into the Sherlock Holmes of the automotive world. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s peel back the hood and take a closer look.First off, let’s talk setup. While it’s not exactly brain surgery, getting this bad boy up and running might require a bit more patience than teaching your grandma how to use Snapchat. The instructions are about as straightforward as a Rubik’s Cube, and I found myself wishing for a magic wand to speed up the process.Once you’ve conquered the setup mountain, you’re greeted with a user interface that’s… well, let’s just say it’s not winning any beauty contests. It’s functional, sure, but about as charming as a rusty old bumper. Navigating through the menus feels like trying to find a needle in a haystack, especially if you’re used to slicker interfaces. But fear not, intrepid driver! Once you’ve wrangled the beast into submission, the Veepeak OBDCheck does deliver on its promise. Need to diagnose engine issues? It’s got your back. Want to monitor your car’s vitals in real-time? Consider it done, albeit with a few more button presses than you’d like. Now, onto compatibility. While the Veepeak OBDCheck claims to work with a wide range of vehicles, I found that it can be a bit finicky with older models. It’s like trying to teach your grandpa how to use TikTok – there’s a learning curve, and sometimes it just refuses to cooperate. But hey, it’s not all doom and gloom! Once you’ve tamed the technology beast, the Veepeak OBDCheck is actually a pretty handy tool to have in your arsenal. It might not be the prettiest or the easiest to use, but it gets the job done – like a reliable old pickup truck that’s seen better days but still chugs along like a champ. So, in conclusion, if you’re willing to overlook a few quirks and quirks, the Veepeak OBDCheck is a solid investment for anyone who’s tired of playing guessing games with their car. Just be prepared to roll up your sleeves and dive into the nitty-gritty. After all, nothing worth having comes easy, right?

With the right app this allows you to see a lot of info along with live data! You can also view and clear codes and also click a link to take you to the internet to see probable causes and recommended fixes of codes. Very quick and easy connection. I love the minimalist compact design. Great product. Worth every penny.

Worked perfectly and showed me what I needed to know about my sensors to help me get my smog check done without a reject. Super easy to use and connects quickly to the app on my phone. A game changer for diagnosing car issues.

Do your research. Ensure you know what you’re buying. It’s your choice which software program you’ll use in combination w/ this device. I use Car Scanner (free) for my Ford 2003 F-250 6.0L diesel. Read the dialogue – this OBD2 device is not supplied w/ any software program – that’s up to the user. I couldn’t be happier with this device. Excellent quality. You have to love Blue-Tooth integration – hands free. Would definitely buy again.

I bought it. I downloaded the software. I plugged it in. I connected it to my phone via bluetooth, ran the software and it works. Awesome. Saved me from wondering.BTW, if this is $30 and the software is free, why can’t RAM show this to me on my dashboard screen? Indian does makes life MUCH easier!!!
