Uniweld 40040 Nitrogen Sludge Sucker & Blaster Kit (Max. Delivery Pressure 400 PSI) with Metal Carrying Stand for 40 Cubic Feet Nitrogen Tank Nitrogen is a dry inert gas with multiple uses in the HVAC/R industry. The Nitrogen Sludge Sucker & Blaster Kit was specifically designed for the following applications: Purging copper lines with low pressure nitrogen displaces the oxygen, preventing oxidation and the resulting scale. Scale left inside the tubing can cause blockage within the TXV Valve and other A/C system components. Pressure testing a system for leaks prior to pulling a vacuum and charging the system with refrigerant will save time and money. Cleaning a condensate drain line is easy with the use of a Sludge Sucker or Sludge Blaster The Sludge Sucker is a tool that was developed to clean out a condensate drain line without having to access the drain pan located in the A/C System’s Air Handler. The Sludge Sucker’s clear vinyl hose is attached to the 3/4-Inch PVC condensate drain line on the outside of the building. With the use of Nitrogen, CO2 or water suction is created that pulls all the sludge and algae from the drain pan and drain line; then blows it onto the ground outside. The Sludge Blaster is inserted into the drain line (Pipe Capacity: 3/4-Inch to 1-Inch) and expands inside the pipe with the use of nitrogen pressure blasts the sludge and algae free. Capabilities can be expanded with rubber plug adaptors, needle tip, air chuck and accessories purchased separately. This works very well for the hvac jobs for which it is intended. First house I used it on had a clogged primary drain and blasted it right clean. Will use it to purge system before brazing.

The shipping was good and almost everything works except the air bladder broke the first time i used it. Uniweld says they cant help me with warranty. There is no option with Amazon to return a defective part, they want the whole kit returned.I did save enough with the purchase to buy another bladder. There is no wat to explain the situation to Amazon. They shoul have a customer service phone number because their e contact wont cover it. I think in the future I will purchase work tools at my dealer where i can exchange without the hassle

This is the cheapest setup you can possibly imagine. The metal holder is very adaptable to different size tanks but it’s made out of such thin materials that the accessory box bends and contorts if it touches anything. The accessories are made of cheap plastic. You could make this setup yourself for about $12 plus your favorites set of gauges with a quick visit to your local hardware store. This product is a huge disappointment. It’s more geared for a homeowner that uses it 1x-2x a year and not for a tech that needs to use the equipment several times a day.
