I have bought several tire inflators in the past, and have given them as presents to my family and friends because I consider these little devices indispensable in emergencies. Except for a very heavy-duty one that works with power tool 20-volt batteries, all of the other ones that I have purchased need to be plugged into a car’s cigarette lighter. This one is the first small, portable inflator that I have bought that works either plugged in or off of its internal rechargeable battery. That is a very convenient and useful feature.This inflator has replaced a corded one in my roadside kit in the trunk of my car. I am very, very pleased with this product. It looks well put together and has a solid feel to it. The fit and finish are really good. I have used it for doing routine tire pressure tests and keeping all tires inflated properly. The gauge is completely accurate. I have compared the readings with what I can read with a fancy tire pressure gauge, and they are a match every time. It is also one of the quietest small inflators that I have used.I don’t know how long it will last, but I can’t think of a better deal given the truly competitive price of this unit.
