We have a special length for 1/4-32 RC spark plug (GLOW PLUG) kit part no. 0142SP The steel insert has a length of .180 inches with a copper coating for heat. The kit will repair any 1/4-32 stripped glow plug that is .180 inches or 4.6mm. Kit includes: Drill, Counterbore, Tap, Install Driver, 5 Inserts & sealer. The glow plug will now seal on the inserts flange preventing blow-by. Sealer included p/n 6020 required on the external thread of the insert.

This tool is of excellent quality. It was used to replace stripped threads on a model airplane engine. The replacement threads allowed for the repair of the button head and my engine is now performing satisfactorily.

I don’t normally write reviews but this product saved a beloved engine. Just want to make sure everyone knows that this kit works good on 4 stroke engines and there IS enough clearance between the insert and the exhaust valve. It’s pricey but well worth it for me.
