Our brand new Subaru got a bad rock chip on the windshield when we only had it two days. Within a couple weeks we had another rock hit the glass and cause a huge crack, requiring complete replacement. I looked for solutions and thought this might work. Hubs and I installed it/ directions could have been better, but we got it on just fine and it fits perfectly. Since we applied it, no rocks have hit the windshield!

This is a Subaru part, designed to be installed by the dealer. Instructions are sketchy and there are numerous tiny parts that can easily get lost. I suggest putting a towel over the engine bay if you don’t want to spend your time dismantling the bottom splash pan to retrieve dropped parts, as I did.Nice product, otherwise. Oh, yes, keep your hands clean!
