Great product. It fits well to the car and easily installed. The deflector provides shade while letting light into the car when u slightly open your sunshade. It does not create and additional wind noise at high speeds.

The product was the original Subaru part arrived in a timely manner and packaged well.

Excellent wind screen. No worry of it blowing off on highway or washing off in carwash. Much better than “stick on” versions.

I searched for ways to decrease the wind/road noise in our 2016 Forester. After looking at different options (for example; Mass Loaded Vinyl (MLV) in the back hatch and spare tire area, an auto “sound deadening” expert said you only need to cover 30% of the targeted area), I considered the easiest starting point; the moon roof air deflector. The one I purchased on Amazon didn’t include an install guide, so I searched online. Just search for “Subaru Accessory Installation Instructions”, then search for part #F541SSG001 (Sunroof Deflector) on the Subaru Canada website.Install is easy enough, comprising 3 parts: Centering, Attaching (brackets) & Tightening. However, I did perform 3 modifications away from the instructions to effectively complete the install.1. I cut down and attached the 3M clear adhesive to the included brackets. By cutting it in half, I covered both bracket sides coming in contact with my Forester (avoids scratching the paint).2. Using black electrical tape, I adhered the included black rubber type washers to the bracket surface between the bracket and air deflector. The included washers lost their stick right after I removed them from the packaging.3. Most Important Mod: I noticed the metal bracket didn’t mount flush to the air deflector surface. The bracket end bent at approximately 60 degrees, coming in contact with the air deflector surface angled at approximately 12 degrees. When tightening the included plastic bolt and nut you really need smooth flush contact point between the bracket and deflector. Therefore, using my work bench vise (you could use pliers) I slowly bent the bracket’s end until it was at the same sloping angle as the deflector. Snugging up the bolts completes the job.Complete install with mod’s took around 30 minutes, but a much quieter ride is well worth it.
