I loved this item for the whole year that I owned it and it held up to the weather despite me thinking that it would get dinged up. The only downfall was that last month someone sawed mine off with a machine and ruined it. Because it’s only made of aluminum it was easy for them to saw straight across it and get away. It pisses me off to no end and they must have thought it was worth money to completely ruin it and only get away with the faceplate.

Item received as described. Good fit and finish. I was originally looking for a color version but now that the hitch plug is installed, I like the black better. Just the right size too. I would recommend for fellow Deadheads. Now, back to looking for a “miracle”.

The quality is pretty sloppy. The welding looks like it isn’t that strong, so I’m not sure how it will hold up long term bumps and wear on the road.That could be forgiven, it wasn’t terribly expensive and if it lasts a few years, that’s cool.What can’t be forgiven is the quality of the paint work. Some of the outline is missing and it looks like that bit that is missing somehow ended up on the outer edge of the emblem. I’m guessing it was pulled from the painting machine a second too soon, so that final part of the outline ended up becoming a random splotch on the edge. This easily should have been caught before shipping.Not worth returning, but if the seller sees this and wants to send a replacement, I would happily update my review.
