This speedometer was exactly what we needed for our 2001 Polaris Sportsman 500 Quad and arrived ahead of expected time.

The stock POLARIS speedometer does more than tell you how fast you are going. It logs your Miles, Trip Miles, and your Hour Meter. It also runs your AWD to lock in your front hubs. The speedometer from Flip Manufacturing that Amazon sells will only tell you how fast you are going. Every time you turn off the key the odometer, trip meter and the hour meter are erased back to zero. Also it will not operate your AWD so your stuck in 2- wheel drive all the time. Buy a used or new POLARIS speedometer if you can. Don’t waste your money like I did. I’m out of $487.00 because I missed the return date.

Was not sure if it would work since dealer told me that a speedo was not available for my ATV. It was what I considered a little expensive, but it fit and worked just fine.

When hooked up the unit light up but the odometer does not work. Also the handle bar switch that function the AWD does not work, meaning the AWD does not work now. The other switches that go thru the speedometer do work. Does not appear the speedometer is a direct replacement for the OEM speedometer that was on the ATV. Dis-appointed that it is not what was stated on Amazon as a direct replacement for the OEM speedometer, especially for the price that was charged.Thank youBrian Zibble
