Flames –
I love everything about it after a month of using daily in my body shop. The chair at the lowest level is about 4 inches to high when I’m working on lower cars. I have to switch to milk crate to work. The other 80% of the time I love it and it will last a long time! Wheels etc are very nice…..

The packaging is completely inadequate. It arrived looking like it was dropped kick every step from China to my door. THIS IS A REPLACEMENT – I returned the first one because, in addition to being battered, dented, and scratched, it was missing the hardware. This replacement was equally beat up, dented, and scuffed, if not more, but at least it had the bag of hardware. There is still a missing plastic end cap for one of the tubes, the magnet on the bottom was detached (obviously sheared off), and I had to re-tighten every one of the factory installed fasteners since they were just one or two revolutions from falling apart. After bending some parts mostly back into shape, I got it assembled in about 15 minutes and it is comfortable to use, with the height range I needed. It already looks like it has lived a hard life in a shop where it was abused. Who knows how long it will last, but for this price it had better last the rest of my life!Bottom line – I did not expect to be buying a kit at this price. This is far too expensive of a stool to need extensive rework, with every edge surface permanently dented and scuffed. I expected MUCH better quality and packaging. However, once it is made serviceable it is as advertised: Heavy, with a large seat surface, and a large height range, and casters that are large enough to roll over minor uneven floor surfaces without sending me to the floor. That is what I needed.

I purchase this as I thought the design would provide better stability and be less likely to tip over than more conventional round base stools. The hydraulic adjustable seat height allows for quick seat height adjustments unlike most other shop stools. The base and seat components appear to be of good quality and properly welded. I wish there was a locking feature on the turntable seat which would make it easier to align the triangle stool base with its 360 degree caster wheels in the direction that best fits whatever project you are working on. Assembly is quick and easy especially if you have a power driver with proper size hex driver.

This thing is completely uselsess. The seat is so wobbly you will fall off it. It is so poorly made that the seat movesaround like you are sitting on a ball joint. If you move it you will fall off it and even just sitting on it if you change positions you are going to tilt in a new direction. Seat great, wheels smooth, but the thing is so poorly designed that it is unusable. I’ll see if I get a refund. I have requested it and will update if that is a problem too.

I really wanted to like this mechanic stool. It checked all the boxes for what we needed it for: adjustable height range, good padded seat, metal frame and storage tray, swivel wheels, and it looked sturdy. However, while putting it together upon arrival I had to tighten up all the hardware at the hinge points. Even after tightening up all the hardware, the stool still had a lot of play. Look at the attached picture for reference – that is not a shop stool I want to sit on. We actually felt unstable sitting on this stool. I could see falling off of it due to how much play there was in the hinge points. The seat swivels and it has swivel casters – that did not help this stool feel stable. On top of the above mentioned, the stools (I ordered 2) sustained some damage in shipping. I looked for a website from the vendor and could not find one. I would have explained the issues to see if there is anything else we could do to make the stools work better. I will say there were some quality pieces used in this shop stool. The padded seat is comfortable and durable. The swivel wheels are of good quality. In the end, I sent both stools back.

Purchased this for my husband and he loves it. He has had other stools and none of them compare to how well this one is made. Rolls where you want it to go . . . not where [it] wants to go. The two big magnets under the tray are a nice touch for keeping nuts and bolts from rattling around when scooting around.
