Essential Sailing Industries –
Some of the mattress drying pads have very difficult to get edges or are exceptionally difficult to fit. This stuff is fast and easy to lay out. you cannot feel it under the mattress. I live ina very wet climate and I am excited to see how it functions in the boat after some use.

Funny thing about getting your first RV is finding out all the little weird things that are necessities — like this. I sure didn’t know that the underside of mattresses needed ventilation until recently, but it does make sense. This helps protect both the mattress and the platform from dampness. It easily cuts to fit. As for whether it works, well, since the RV is winterized for the next few months, there’s no way to tell right now. But it fits perfectly, it can’t be seen, and it allows airflow under the mattress without making it feel any different. Seems like a win in my book!

This works as intended. We have a king size, so had to cut into sections & put under mattress. But we have alot less moisture under the mattress, which will prolong it’s life.

This under mattress ventilation material makes a big difference, it keeps the cold humid air from going through our double mattress and that makes a difference in how comfortable the mattress is, it’s fairly easy to cut and all you have to do is place it under your mattress. A good value for the money.

As we were loading the truck and trailer for a two week trip, I thought it was a good time to finally install the ROYALAY RV Under Mattress Ventilation Pad under the corner bed in our Airstream.I recently saw a note on my phone from two years ago reminding me to purchase and install a quality under mattress vent pad, it had been highly recommended in an RV magazine.I unpacked the pad, it measures 39″ Wide X 120″ Long. Our mattress is 48″ W X 78″ L. The roll is too narrow, therefore made a cut and now had two pieces each 48″ W X 38″ L. We then trimmed them to fit the rounded corners of the corner bed. Good scissors worked fine.The problem was in trying to manhandle the heavy mattress back into place on top of the ventilation pad, the two vent pad pieces slid all over, and will continue to do so every time we need to move the mattress to change bedding.Duct tape is not going to work. I’ll take the vent padding with me on this trip and look into tacking the pieces into place when we get the chance.ROYALAY should consider including an easily installed velcro/tack/ or tape kit to provide an easier install process.

It measures out to be a full-size queen, so there is plenty of material to cover the area under the mattress. The material feels like some fiberglass type of material that flakes everywhere when cutting it. Doesn’t seem to make too big of a mess once installed but the fibers go everywhere as you cut it. The role is half the width and twice the length of a mattress, so you have to cut it in half and install as two pieces. This makes it cheaper to ship so I understand why they sell it this way. It is only a 1/4 thick and I’m not certain if that is enough to truly get airflow under the mattress. Time will tell after a year of using it. It does feel sturdy, and I don’t fear the mattress crushing it. Do not walk on it or kneel on it. It is not made to sustain that kind of weight in a small area.

I spend all winter eagerly awaiting the heavy snow to melt so that we can go camping. What better way to pass the time than to order stuff for the camper. LOL :DThe top half of our bed is over the front, pass through storage compartment of the camper. I ordered this to provide some air flow space between the mattress and that unheated space. The fact that it’s not too thick should mean that it won’t feel lumpy under the mattress. Once we camp with it a few times in the colder spring temps, I will update this review if I encounter any issues.

Do not open inside your camper, really strong off-gassing smell. Have yet to install as it cannot be indoors yet.
