SEEKSELF Professional Brake Line Flaring Tool Kit for 45 Degree Single, Double and Bubble Flares
- The kit can be used to create 45-degree single, double and bubble brake flares on stainless steel, steel and some soft metal tubing like copper.
- Such as automotive brake lines, transmission cooler lines, fuel lines and others.
- Includes 4 Sets of Die Blocks, suitable for 3/16″(4.75mm), 1/4″(6.35mm), 5/16″(8mm) and 3/8″(9.5mm) Outer Diameter lines.
Warning: The bottom of the tool must be clamped by a vise, make sure the tool is firmly held before use. NOT suitable for use under car.

Be sure to check that the tool is complete and installed in place before use.
In order to make the tool work properly for a long time, pay attention to the maintenance after each use and remove the stains on the surface.
Easy to Use (Refer to the picture above):
1. Firmly installing the tool to the vise;
2. Cutting tube with the pipe cutter to obtain a flush opening, then remove burrs inside and outside the opening;
3. Pull out the pins of the tool and pull up the clamp, put in half of the die blocks corresponding to the size of the pipe, and then put in the pipe (the pipe opening is flush with the OP.0 of the turntable);
4. Put in the other half of the die blocks of the same size, put down the clamp and push in the pins to lock, and use the T handle to screw until it is still a little loose (make sure that the tube can be pushed when the OP.0 step is aligned);
5. Turn the handle;
6. Confirm that the opening is flush with the end of the die blocks, and use the T handle to fully tighten the dies;
7. Depending on your needs, turn the dial to OP.1 or OP.2 (make sure the head on the side of the dial are accurately aligned with the opening).

8. Turn the handle again.
Precautions:
- Wear goggles and gloves before operating the tool, and keep away from others to prevent debris from popping out unexpectedly when turning the handle.
- Therefore, please check that the tool is firmly clamped by the bench vice before use to ensure that it will not move accidentally while working.
- Check that the tool’s spring is working properly and that there are no foreign objects on it.
Mark –
It works okay for a manual flaring tool. The dies gripped and held the tubing from sliding without leaving too much of a mark. The smaller 3/16″ tube actually took more force to form than the 1/4″. It shows on the end flare as it didn’t make a very good one. You can see this in the picture, the left side is my hydraulic flaring tool and the right side is the hand tool. The 1/4″ tube flared easier and produced a better flare. I do a lot of brake lines in 3/16″ so I was hoping it would work well on that size, oh well.Update 9/16: Installed a Hydroboost brake unit in a Pre-runner this weekend. Fab’ed a few 3/16″ lines The clamp on this thing deforms the tubing and will not allow the nut to go on without fining the sides. Removing a star.

I’m an older seasoned automotive technician, I’m reviewing this product based on my many years of experience in the field using high quality tools and equipment. Ordered this kit to supplement the flaring tools we already have in the shop. Nice flaring kit overall, nice sturdy storage case that uses the pinned hinges that seem to last forever, and an instruction manual that is better than most. The main tool is robust in design and works as it should. We build and replace lot of brake lines in the shop, and unfortunately with the size of the dies that are in this kit, it prevents us from flaring the tubing close to a bend in the line which limits its use. Price point is considered reasonable for this item.

In all fairness, it does the flares, but some of the things about it are annoying to use. The handle falls out of the clamp that you have to turn very easily so as you spend the clamp around the handle goes flying off and then you have to chase itAlso the Dye heads that slide into where the hoses clamped, some of them lineup nicely some of them don’t In this case, the 3/16 one that would probably get the most use would push in just fine but then you would have to use a hammer to get it to release because the one piece didn’t center with the other piece and so it was like in a bind, even as you pushed it in. Also, with this style, you have to have a vice so that means you have to have a whole Nother set of crimping tools for working on the car until you buy those and this may as well just get the hydraulic one and do both so that’s what I’m going to do

This kit comes in a sturdy carry case that holds all the components in their place. The instructions provided are clear and did a good job of guiding me through my use of the tool – as this tool is very different than any flare tools I have used in the past.The tool worked beautifully, resulting in a good clean and accurate flare. If you are performing works such as full car restorations this is a great tool for forming reliable flares on your bench. The one short coming of the tool was that due to the size and nature of operation it is not able to be used in place (flaring a pipe that is currently installed on the car).Overall quality of the tool is what I consider very good home mechanic. For the professional mechanic this may be considered more mid market, however it will clearly give years of service and represents good value.Overall Verdict?Great design, solid construction, does a good job of work bench flaring. I recommend this product.

Je suis agréablement surpris par la qualité de ce kit evasement de ligne de frein.C’est un outil ideal pour evasement des tubes en acier, cuivre et matal d’une dimension 3/16″,1/4″,5/16″.La malette de transport est en plastique et je suis content de voir que lors du transport les outils ne bouge pas car ils sont bien fixé dans cette malette.C’est à mon sens un outil d’excellente qualité, robuste.

I bought this to start making a new set of 3/16″ lines for my 95 Ford Aerostar, I’ve only been cutting short lengths of tube to practice with so far, but it seems to work well producing clean, well shaped double flares in a matter of seconds. I’m now confident that the new pipes I make with this will be as good as new!

L’outil en lui-même est robuste et bien conçu, mais il faut un peu de pratique pour obtenir un bon évasement, surtout sur les doubles et les évasés à bulle. Sur du cuivre, c’est facile, mais avec du tube en acier, mieux vaut bien lubrifier et serrer fermement pour éviter que le tube ne glisse. Le système de serrage pourrait être un peu plus performant, mais avec de la patience, on arrive à un bon résultat. Pour un usage occasionnel ou semi-professionnel, c’est un bon compromis.

Used to make bubble flares for Corvette brake lines. My first attempt with this tool and did complete vehicle with no leaks. Very happy with ease of use and time saved.

It is a lessor quality but for the price point works well with practice
