This kit just arrived, This is a really cool tool, I have had so many situations where I could have used this particular tool. This tool allows you to fit a screwdriver bit into an inch and a half space with a flat blade and a two and a half inch space with a phillips. There are other bits which are longer. The assortment of bits could be better, but it is sold as a carburator tuning kit (which it seems it can do well).This is a quality made tool and worth the money to save yourself from injury and frustration.

I’m glad I got this one instead of the Motion Pro.After failing to adjust my mix screw with a flex shaft right angle tool because of the low torque handling I spent the Big Bucks on this tool. It got the job done. The head is compact enough to fit in the tight space below the carb without having to pry the carb into a new position as I had to do with the flex shaft tool. The feel for what the bit is doing is much better than with the flex shaft tool. The torque delivery is smooth and strong.To answer some of the concerns/complaints I’d seen from others while researching this style of tool:Gear ratio: It is straight 1:1 so one turn of the handle is one turn of the screw. It uses spiral bevel gears of equal sizes rather than a worm/wheel set or unmatched gear set.Sensitivity: I attribute the sensitivity complaints people have with this style of geared tool to the fact that many of them (such as the Motion Pro) use straight cut bevel gears which can feel quite rough or “bumpy” as the teeth engage/disengage. This is why straight cut gear transmissions are so noisy. But the gears on this tool are spiral cut. The engagement/disengagement is super smooth. The biggest problem I had with this was not feel through the gear set, it was dis- and mis- orientation. Having the application of the torque my hand was imparting be so far away from my hand and in a different direction made me feel numb to what I was doing. I had to take a moment and concentrate and think about what I was doing to make sense of the feedback coming into my hand. That solved the “can’t feel what I’m doing” problem. The other major problem was not getting the head oriented in the same axis of rotation as the screw, which threw off the feel of a turn quite a bit. The procedure felt inconsistent and hard to control. Once I got the tool oriented correctly the action was buttery smooth, even under firm torque. It was difficult to get the tool oriented properly and keep it there, but hitting the sweet spot and being out is a night-and-day difference. None of that is the tool’s fault, just the facts of physics and human anatomy.Gear quality: These gears feel very smooth, with little lash, and positive engagement. The teeth are quite shallow so I’m sure that limits the torque delivery ability but I didn’t try to stress them to failure to see what they were capable off. The more likely failure would be the teeth jumping as the bearings aren’t as tight as they should be at this scale where a small movement is relatively large in terms of shaft alignment and location. I’ll just say that I have no doubt that they can easily handle any “pilot screw adjusting” job the tool is advertised as being for but I’m not going to be using it for breaking loose stubborn fasteners.Build quality: This is lightweight aluminum. I put a little more lateral pressure on the shaft using the included handle than I was really comfortable with but it didn’t pick up a bend or threaten to fail. You have to be very careful when threading the head onto the shaft as the threads are very fine and delicate and you could easily strip them if you don’t take care to ensure gear engagement before cinching down the collar. I expect I’ll be stripping these out sooner rather than later. The lower bearing is a little loose on the flat blade head and I believe the play is in the seat rather than the bearing itself. The chuck head feels much better with no discernible displacement when stressed, even though you can hear a little click as you try to move it around. The heads appear to be machined and tumbled billet, the shaft extruded.I like it. It was worth the price to avoid the frustration of the job I needed it to do. I wish I’d known to install an aftermarket mix screw before carb installation, though, and spared myself this expense.

You get what you pay for.Best and easiest way to adjust mikuni carburator!Tried those chinese knock off tools first and it just fell apart before I could get the screw adjusted.Bought this and I’m impressed with the quality and ease of use.Money well spent, although it is a little pricey.

I used this to adjust pilot settings on my 81 Yamaha XV920. It worked much better than the Kawasaki branded tool that I was using. Very versatile in adjusting the length of screw bit. It is very tight quarters getting lined up under the carbs. I was able to line up easily and the smoothness of the rotation really helped. Also there is a resettable reference mark which makes it easy to count your turns. Highly recommend.

seem well built, was able to get it in a tight spot on my atv. very accurate on adjusting air/fuel. only complaint is no directions to tell you how to change heads, not to hard to figure out and i do like the extra bits

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality and how felt using it. Been spinning wrenches for 20+ and always trying to be more professional. I’m not sure what the real pros use but I couldn’t find much and this seems to be a good tool. No you can’t slam it on the ground no you can’t drop a sledge on it. Keep it with the micrometers and the calipers. And be thoughtful about screwing in the attachments as to not ruin the threads. Its a specialty tool for pilot jet screws not a pry bar.

Bought 3 carb adjusting tools offered online. This is the best one of the (3) I bought. This tool actually has different length bits allowing you to get into the tight spots under the carb for adjusting pilot screws, air mixture or fuel mixture screws. The other brands did not reach into the tight area of Suzuki or Kawasaki ATV carbs. Nothing like having the right tool for the job!
