Only available replacement for the Prestolite distributor ignition module. It looks completely different than the factory piece, but works great.Requires timing adjustment. Also, make sure to push the reluctor collar that comes with it all the way down. This took a good amount of evenly placed force … and it won’t run on all cylinders even if it’s the slightest bit too high. 2 minutes to install … almost an hour to debug the reluctor collar being too high.

I have a 2001 Four Winns 190 horizon with a 5.0 gl Volvo Penta engine. This was a plug and play part, took 10 minutes to install. Works great and reasonably priced.

Replaced both old (1988) electronic ignition modules on twin 5.7l V8 Chevys in a 32′ Carver boat. Simple to install, went in beautifully and worked well. Can’t say enough about the ease of installation.

Update: New Module works as should. Easy install and adjustment. Speedy no hassle replacement.I installed everything correctly and as soon as I went to start the boat the voltage gauge dropped to 0 then built back to 12. Took the distributor cap off to find the box on the new module was smoked. Measuring 3 ohms on the coil and no OMC throttle module to trouble shoot. Returning/Ordering another one. Will update.
