Perfect fit for my 1969 CJ5. Did not require any dash modifications at all. I don’t use the temp gauge since I have a mechanical gauge already installed, and am still working on hooking up the fuel gauge. Have found wiring diagram for it but need to confirm proper ohm rating for gauge to match it up with a sending unit in the gas tank.

I was looking to go “old school style” and do a flat dash system on my 87 YJ. I purchased this assembly thinking that it would be a good start. The reasons that I gave it only 4 stars were 1. It has a plastic instead of glass front, that I am sure is going to become scratched rather easily. 2. The fuel gauge is the exact opposite in ohms than what my sending unit is in my tank, so when I have a full tank it is going to read empty and the opposite when I am empty it will read full. The other downfall was that it didn’t come with any lighting or bulb holders in the back side of it, and those were difficult to track down.

This gauge cluster (speedo, fuel, temp) is just straight up garbage. The only reason that it got one star is that I can’t give it 0 stars… The dial label is rotated about 5 degrees to the right, so the whole gauge looks like an idiot mounted it in the dash and didn’t align it properly, however, as this gauge is supported in the four corners and not mounted like other gauges, it’s a manufacturing defect. Sure, I could take the whole thing apart and mount it properly, and I probably will… but what a joke. The gauges work, but the attention to detail is so poor that I won’t buy a single Omix product ever again. Note: I usually only give positive reviews… or no review at all… this is the rare occasion that a product is so bad that I’m taking the time to write more of a warning than a product review. Also note… you have OPTIONS! You don’t have to buy this POS. Speedhut.com has high quality gauges that fit in your stock holes…. they are pricey, but they are worth it. That’s what I should have done, and I’m sorry I didn’t. If I didn’t have my jeep overseas, I’d have returned it immediately, but it’s too much of a pain.

My Jeep suffered a fire in the engine bay and ended up frying the speedometer. This one looks and works great!

Installed one of these in my Cj5 8 yrs ago. Speedo never worked correctly. Never steady or accurate. Fuel gauge worked properly and was always accurate until recently when it became stuck on full.Ordered replacement: same speedo issues. With FULL fuel at startup, gauge needle rises and stalls at 1/2 tank then slowly continues to 3/4.Sent this one back and received replacement. Same issues again. This one a little better: same speedo issues and this fuel gauge does not stall at 1/2 full….. It just goes all the way to 3/4 on a full tank of fuel again. Tank sender to ground reads 11.2 ohms at FULLDo I order another until I get one that works? Is there no quality control? These are a pain to install.
