Our products will update regularly, here’s how to update the product:
For Mac: Method 1: Insert the memory card into a card reader, then connect it to your Mac. Go to the iCarsoft website, select the “Updating Tool for Mac OS,” and download the update. Finally, place the card reader back into the product. Method 2: Connect your Mac and the scanner using a Type-C cable, then select “Updating Tool for Mac OS” to directly download the update to the product.
For Windows: The update process is the same as for Mac. You can use the USB cable included in the package to connect the scanner for the update.
- Our product is compatible with vehicles that adhere to the OBD2 protocol after 1996, but not with vehicles that use the OBD1 protocol before 1996.
- Vehicles imported into the USA may not support the OBD2 protocol, which may prevent diagnostic, code reading, and code clearing functions. If your vehicle is imported, please reach out to us to update your system.
- If the product fails to perform functions such as code reading and decoding, it may be due to specific models from the automaker. Please reach out to us and provide your vehicle’s VIN, year, and model information. We will provide you with detection software tailored for your unique vehicle model or offer a product replacement.
- We have received updates from some automobile manufacturers regarding system upgrades. But please rest assured, if you encounter any special circumstances, feel free to reach out to us. We are here to help resolve any issues you may have.

O-Ton : “Vielleicht (!) hilf das ja”- Gerät bestellt- Gerät angeschlossen- Fehler ausgelesen- alles Gelöscht=> Problem gelöst => 10 Minuten …=> Probefahrt = alles gut ….sicher 1.000-2.000 € gespartich habe auch keine Ahnung von den Geräten … einfach probiert”die Augen haben Angst und die Hände machen die Arbeit”Kaufempfehlung … ein Versuch lohnt immer!VITO W639 wird nicht unterstützt !

Bought this to check an engine fault and reset the oil service light on my 09 997.2.Unit came with Version 35.50, which would not allow me to complete the oil reset. There are plenty of videos on how to perform an update via a PC, which of course i did not have. I reached out to Icarsoft, and they linked me to an app for my MAC that worked and allowed me to complete the update.It was pretty self explanatory, the unit turns on with all required information when plugged, except when it asked you to authorize where you wanted the download to go. I had to select the unit itself in the “Finder” bar, and not any particular file.Once the update was complete (mine updated to 34.50) oil reset worked great.People at icarsoft were very prompt about returning my emails and helping me out. The unit is pretty intuitive and easy to use.

This is a must for the message reset function alone! Oil changes, interim services etc… this has paid for itself in 2 uses already. Definitely recommend this to save time and money with minor maintenance matters.

Once again…. I ab only use this on my Porsche, I wanted to connect it to my FIAT but I guess I need to download the source code, which is okay until I realized I can’t, I need a PC, I don’t have a PC!No Mac support at all, this day and age really?So if you have a Mac, you’re screwed.

Did the job and works nicely. It is Porsche specific, so don’t think you can use it on other makes.

Did not perform as described. Purchased the tool to reset oil service code for 2005 Carrera. Vendor told me I needed to update the software. I’m using it on a 20 year old Porsche! The tool should already have the software installed. No thanks.

if you’re up to very basic things (like resetting oil warnings) then it’s ok. Otherwise I think better to get a better more capable one, that can also handle more vehicles than a specialized one.
