I had high hopes for the Yamataka replacement spout to replace the original NoSpill model spouts. Yamataka looks good and talks a good game but they don’t deliver. I tried their product on five Nospill 2.5 gal gas cans …. their screw on top does not fit any. Apparently the threads differ from the original Nospill threads. That’s why I only purchased one at their inflated price … to make sure it would work before spending my money on the five replacements that I need. Do yourself a favor, keep looking for those Nospill model replacement spouts.

as long as you have the correct filler type and part number on your gas can, this works great.

it takes some tweaking to get it on the container.

Initially I could not get the replacement cap to seat on the can properly and it was too tight to turn by hand. I used a large wrench to attach the cap all the way 4 – 5 times. I then lubricated the neck and cap threads. That allowed me to fully seat the new cap all the way by hand.

Product lasted about a year. Filled up multiple machines with fuel weekly. We take care of our tools and items, and this product is simply just cheaply made. There is no durability in the spout where it threads into the black cap. This item broke and the treads are a major failure point. Plastic threads are always a gamble but would have expected it to last longer. Would be nice to see them redesigned to be more durable at the connections.
