Is this charger compatible with my EV?
This level 2 charger works with 98% electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids that use the SAE J1772 connector, including models from Ford, Chevrolet, Nissan, Hyundai, Kia, and more. Tesla vehicles require a J1772-to-Tesla adapter.

How do I select the appropriate charging current (10A, 12A, 16A, 20A, 24A)?
Amperage depends on your circuit and EV.
1. If your car only accepts 16A, higher settings won’t help.
2. Use lower amps (10A–12A) if wiring is uncertain or it’s hot.
3. Start at 16A–20A, and go up to 24A only if your setup can safely support it

I’m really happy with this EV charger. It was easy to set up and use because the instructions are clear and simple. It charges the battery in a good amount of time. It’s got a lot of nice little features and fits well. Excellent value for the money. They did a really good job on it. I’m glad I got it.

I wanted a permanent mount for a EV charger in my garage. I had added a 220v outlet, so this plugs right in and has a very functional charger. I have purchased some other charging cables and this has a much better bracket for holding the controller. This is a heavy cable and works very well. The Level 2 provides much faster charging. I am very happy with this item.

This comes with a NEMA 14-30 plug, which is a plug many dryers use. There are a lot of things I like about it.For one, there’s no app downloading my photos and sending them to a foreign land. All the controls are right on the charger, which is what I like. It has a “light bar” status indicator which is visible from quite a ways away, depending on the ambient light level, so you don’t have to get right up on it to see what’s going on. If you need more info, the display screen tells you even more than the charge status with tidbits such as the temperature of the charger, the current power usage, etc. It’s all settable with a single button, and the UI is very simple to navigate and use.The quality is very good, and it’s supposed to be waterproof, and I have no reason to doubt it. My personal recommendation if you live where it snows is to get an enclosure for it if it’s going to be mounted outside, if only because I’d hate to clean snow and ice off it when I want to charge my car.It comes with everything you need, from a mounting bracket for both the charger AND cord, as well as a carry case for if you want to take it on the go.Compared to the price of a dealer-installed charger, the asking price is a mere pittance, and for the quality of everything you get, I’d say it’s a heck of a deal, especially with the really decent 24A charge rate. 5 stars.

The cord has a very thick jacket and feels high quality and durable, certainly no concern of it not lasting a while. and the connector at the end of the cord is also a high-grade rubber that is much more durable than most chargers I have owned. The display on the unit is large enough to easily be seen even when mounted in a car trunk. Overall no complaints, functional and promising purchase.
