I end it up buying a size up (2XL) from what my waist was according to the chart. Like other reviews stated the removable armor padding feels like is located in wrong spots, almost like if I got a wrong size pants. I tried to wear them over the jeans and without the jeans and both ways they feels tight everywhere but too loose on my waist with no more adjustment. I got used to that I can not put these pants with boots on and padding feeling weird but it is really annoying when these pants ride up >3 inches above my ankles when I’m riding. I bought clips to hold the pants down, which help a little before the clips just let go while riding. The pants as being windproof, with the insulation liner and jeans they seem to keep you warm riding as low as in 30 degree temperature. Can not comment too much on being waterproof yet but they look like they can keep you dry.I can not suggest what sizing is correct, but I’m 6’3″ medium built male and 2XL feels too loose on the waist, tight everywhere else and short.

Much higher quality than I was expecting given the price. Very well designed; effective stretch panels just above the knees, long zippers below the knee allow the pant leg to expand to fit over thick riding boots, the removable insulating liner has two (color-coded – nice touch) snaps to secure to the bottom of the pant leg, a grippy seat to keep your butt planted on the seat, and probably more I haven’t noticed.I haven’t worn these in the rain, but it’s clearly designed to keep water out. For example, the fly has an over-flap secured with velcro and dual snaps, and in case any water gets past that, a seamless layer on the inside of the zipper to keep that water from getting to the inside of the pant. The front pockets similarly have an over-flap secured with a snap, and the pocket liner looks to also be waterproof. Again, I can’t vouch for these things actually working, since I haven’t yet been caught in the rain, but the design gives me confidence that they would.All the zippers are YKK brand, whom I’ve heard make the best zippers on the market. They feel secure and operate smoothly, for whatever that’s worth. The pants also come with a set of spare snaps.I have a tall, thin build (6’1, 135 lbs), wear 29×32 Levis slim-fit jeans, and the Small-Tall fit great. They’re snug with the insulating liner and a pair of jeans on, and perfect without the insulating layer and a pair of jeans underneath.

These pants seem to be a great deal. The price is almost too good to be true considering the features and what you get. The sizing is weird, but I guess if you follow the chart to a T you will wind up ok. I am 6’4, 220lbs. I wear a 38/36 jean usually. I ordered the 3XL Tall version of these, thinking they’d be WAY too big even over my jeans. Sure enough, they fit pretty darn good! I measured over my jeans/belt for the waist. This is something they need to include on their sizing information. Also where to measure, as some companies have you measure across your belly.Things I like. 1) The zipper matches my Tourmaster jacket!!! Even though it comes with the other side to the zipper, as did my jacket, I was very pleased to see that they matched up perfectly. 2) The pockets are sealed and generous. 3) Length is nice.I have a couple of gripes. 1) Why do the zippers only go mid calve? They need to go up to the knee so you can get these on over even small hiking boots. I wear a size 13, no way are they getting through. 2) There ARE belt loops inside. I wish they were snap loops. I dont want to have to thread my belt through my pants AND then these over pants. But I will fix that myself. 3) They are somewhat tough to get into the right spot. Even being 3XL, my legs dont have a ton of room at the bottom, and getting the knee pads in the right spot, and keeping the pants from riding way up is tough.

I really like these pants so far. This is actually the second go ’round. I bought a pair previously from a different manufacturer that were awful. The fit was so bizarre – huge waist and short legs.. Anyway, these are spot on. I am 6′-1″, 220 lbs, and usually wear 34-36″ waist, and 34″ inseam in pants/jeans. I ordered these in 2XL “tall” and they work great. The knee pads, when on the bike and in the riding position, are in the right place. And the pants don’t ride up and expose your shins while riding (as did the previous pair I bought). I’ve ridden in temps in the high 30’s F and my legs stay nice and toasty – and that’s without pants on underneath. I bought these to be big enough to be used as over-pants and will work for that as well. But with the liner in, they kept me warm enough without. I have not ridden in the rain yet, so I can’t comment on the waterproof feature. The construction is solid and seems to be a pair I’ll put a lot of miles on.

I’m surprised at the quality. Not just for the price, but the quality overall. I tried on riding pants at Cycle Gear at 2x this price, not even close to this quality. Fitment is perfect(actually a bit tight but I’m sure they will break in).I’m 5’11” 165lbs.I ordered the 30×34 because of the recommended belly button measurement, not normal pant waist size(32” in jeans)Couldn’t ask for better for mail order. My props to the designer and manufacturers. Superb product!

Two weeks of continuous on/off riding in Colombia, no issues. I measured sizing and the pants are true to declared size.Zippers flawless, Material is on thin side but robust. Knee flex in the right place and leg taper good (not baggy). No unusual wear or split seams.I’d buy again.
