Steps for Installing the Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal

STEP 1

Install Pilot (a) on the end of the crankshaft using the Allen head cap screws (b) supplied and tighten.

STEP 2

Start oil seal/wear sleeve assembly (c) over the Pilot and crankshaft with the open side of the seal toward the engine.

STEP 3

Position Driver (d) so that hole in the cross plate goes over the threaded stud of the pilot. Install the washer and nut on the stud.

STEP 4

Tighten the nut to draw the Driver in until the crossbar bottoms on the Pilot. When tool bottoms, oil seal/wear sleeve assembly (c) will be correctly positioned. Remove Crankshaft Rear Oil Seal Installation Tool Set from the engine.
