I just installed a TCI ratchet shifter in a 2006 mustang GT and wanted the OD button on the handle. This fit like a glove and was very easy to wire in. I have gotten a lot of comments on this small change. It came with all the necessary hardware to fit just about any application. I would recommend this to all my friends.

Note: Does NOT work with a Gear Vendor’s overdrive. This is a momentary switch, whereas the Gear Vendors uses a ‘latch switch’. It doesn’t seem like the GV would work that way, but it does. Other than that, this is exactly what I was looking for, it just won’t work for my application.

The Shifter is a nice addition but the connecting cords (12v) came out of the shifter making it pretty much useless.

First things first: As others have said, this is a brushed finish as opposed to the pictured polished finish. I bought this knowing this full well, and honestly the brushed goes better with the interior of my ’12 2SS Camaro than the polished would have.I bought this for the button. I wanted button to activate the progressive shift function on my shift light, and while the steering wheel would have been the ideal location the shifter was just more feasible. That being said, now that it’s installed I really prefer this to the white ball knob that came on the Hurst 5th gen Camaro short shifter. Angle the T-handle just right, and second to third feels much more like a straight line. It also has some heft, which helps throw the car into gear.

I love the look and feel of this handle. It’s solid and the button has a good firm click to it. What else can you expect from Hurst.
