Replaced the shut off valve, new fuel hoses, new spark plug and wire. Tank is spotless. Filled with ethanol free gas, installed new carburetor and at half throttle cough cough shutoff. Removed the carburetor and noticed it’s smaller than the original. Definitely could not keep up the flow of fuel. Adjustments were made but runs horrible.

In about 40 minutes, I had everything swapped out and tightened up.Moment of truth: I hit the start switch. The generator roared to life like a champ, and not only did it run, but it also kept running. No more conking out after 20 minutes. I ran it for hours, testing various loads, and it didn’t even hiccup.Here’s the kicker: my wife (ever the practical one) said, “At this price, we should buy another one just in case.” She’s not wrong. Why would anyone waste time cleaning a carburetor when you can slap on a shiny new one for the cost of a gas station sandwich and a coffee?In summary: this isn’t just a carburetor; it’s a full-on rescue kit for your generator.
