These are really well made and look good on the Scout. They feel sturdy and feel solid. Install is not hard but you do have to drop your foot controls to install them. They only install at the bottom point and there is nothing to anchor them at the top. They look good once installed and do provide protection from drops, and should provide some protection from low speed slides. You can even use them as foot rests like highway pegs. I would be worried about a high speed slide as this could cause the metal to fold over since they are not anchored at the top. They are very thick and have a brace that should help minimize that risk, so maybe I’m just being paranoid, but I would still be aware of that possibility if you install these.

Fit well and look good
