These bolts secure the passenger side motor mount to its bracket on Chevrolet Cruze, Sonic, Trax & Buick Encore with the 1.4L Ecotec (RPO LUJ/LUV) engine. The bracket and motor mount must be removed on these vehicles if you need to change the water pump (fairly common, my Sonic with 50K miles had slow leak) or serpentine belt. I saw multiple videos online describing how to change the water pump on this engine where they did not even mention the fact that the bolts must be discarded and replaced (documented in the actual GM Service Manual), as TTY literally means that they have been torqued to near the limit of their yield strength, and cannot be properly re-torqued to the same limit again. The actual spec is torque to 37 ft lb, then tighten an additional 60°-75°. You can visibly see deformation on the last few threads on used bolts, but you cannot visualize the strain that had been applied to the metal. As a guy who barely scraped by the Mechanics of Deformable Bodies class I will take the GM engineer’s word that these bolts need to be replaced. Applying the additional 60°-75° was actually very tight, not going to guess final torque spec. You will need three of these, and three of the motor mount bracket to engine TTY bolts, as depicted on the attached graphic. Note that it was extremely difficult for me to find out that these were the correct bolts by searching, luckily I found a video with the correct part numbers. I called the seller, Bob Hook Chevrolet, and the friendly parts guy on the line confirmed for me that these were the correct bolts. I ordered them lunch time Friday, they put them in the mail that day, and I had them Tuesday. All in all great service.
