Same exact hose offered in local auto parts store. Had same label and same fit. I had to replace my 3year old hose because the plastic housing that contains the radiator cap broke for the second time. The last hose I bought was made by Goodyear and broke after 3 years. The factory hose lasted 7 years. I like the Gates hose better than the Goodyear because it has a rubberized plastic where the hose meets the cap housing, it appears to be more flexible. The Goodyear hose has clamps and the plastic housing snapped off completely at the edge of the hose clamp. This hose was $20 less from Amazon than from my local auto parts store.I had to trim a bit of hose from each end to get it to fit into my 2001 Dodge Durango. Without trimming the hose would kink. I was able to cut it easily with a sharp pair of kitchen shears. I took off almost 2 inches from the long straight end and 1/2 inch from the curved end. The plastic clip under the radiator cap does not fit into the stock mounting hole at all. It is way too large, with a little bit of sanding you can whittle it down to fit. This hose comes with the radiator cap

Good quality piece, fits well except for one point. The clip under the cap housing doesn’t fit in the slot in the support bracket. Doesn’t cause a problem, but would prefer it to mount securely. Also, pressure cap that comes with this piece is rated at 20 lbs, original is 18 lbs. Not an issue, just an observation.Overall, it’s a good piece that works well at a good price.

Three things keep this from getting more stars. One, it is long. It should be the exact length of the OEM. They should make a separate one for the V6. Two, the barb that attaches it to the factory bracket just under the filler neck is square. The OEM is conical. I had to cut it off and use wire ties. They won’t last long with the heat. Three, the OEM had a spring in it to keep the hose from kinking and/or collapsing. This replacement did not have the spring. I had to remove it from the OEM and insert it into this replacement. Not a major ding, but the cap is also quite a bit lighter and cheaper than the OEM. I think I will get a quality replacement since I don’t trust the one included.

This radiator hose does not fit the engine. First it is too long. Second, the bend in the hose does not match the profile of the engine. The midspan hose support on the hose does not match the engine bracket. I was able to attach the hose after cutting the hose, sawing off the midspan support on the hose and rerouting the throttle cable.
