This is the best shredder I have ever used. It never gets clogged up and takes everything I put in it. It reduces the brush to small pieces which should compost very quickly. I find it is difficult for me to start it as I don’t have the strength to pull the cord. I usually have to find a man who can do this for me. I had problems initially attaching the bag, however reading the manual more thoroughly enabled me to do this easily. I wish the feeder at the top was a little bigger as it limits how much you can put in at a time. It has no problems with vines or fresh green vegetation. I recommend this over the Troy built and Sears shredders I have used before.

I’ve got a Troy-Bilt chipper-shredder and didn’t want to pay $125 for the local retailer’s name brand tow bar. This Earthquake model was significantly less money, only needed some minor adapting to fit my machine and works very well. The main positive point is that it is very substantial and holds my machine in place well while being towed by my lawn tractor. The only negative point is that for what they do charge, you’d think they’d include all the mounting bolts/nuts (but they don’t). My machine has a couple of holes at the bottom of the front edge and I mounted a piece of scrap steel angle to those holes and then attached the tow bar to the other side of the steel angle. The tow bar’s upper mount has an opening that’s too wide for the diameter of the handle on my machine so I wrapped the handle with a length of foam pipe insulation and then forced the tow bar’s opening over the wrapped handle. Now it’s a very snug fit. There’s no sway and no rattle when the machine is towed around the yard.

Easy to install on my new TAZZ K33 Chipper. Makes moving the chipper around the property a breeze. would have been 5 stars except the attachment pin to my John Deere was only 3/8″ and I had to drill it out to 9/16″ use the JD pin… If you bought a chipper and need to move it on your property you NEED this tow bar !!!

I was getting fed up dragging my heavy Earthquake shredder the 500 metres from tool shed to the back of garden, the effort meant I had less appetite for using the machine despite desperately needing it for mulching twigs and shredding branches of cut-down trees. I have a small tractor type mowing machine that could easily tow the shredder but it needed this specially designed tow bar kit to do the job. I tried in vain to get it from the UK agents of Earthquake, who, quite frankly, did not want to know. Finally it turned up on Amazon UK as a US import and I lashed out on the £100 immediately. Unfortunately, the first one got lost by UPS somewhere between California and UK so I had to order another one (there were only 5 left) and wait another month for it. However, when it did finally arrived it took just 30 mins to construct the kit and attach it to my tractor. It works like a dream and is well worth the hassle as I am now putting my shredder to proper use. Thank you Amazon for upstaging Earthquake’s UK distributors and probably saving me a considerable amount of time and money.

I needed something to pull my Predator wood chipper behind my four wheeler and this was the perfect fit and works great. Should fit the Predator chippers sold by Amazon and Harbor Freight. I did modify it so I could put a pin through the sliding shaft instead of using the enclosed little bolt and having to carry a wrench whenever it needed adjusted. It’s not necessary but I highly recommend it. I drilled a hole at the upright travel position and another where the machine sits firmly on the ground for use. Now all I have to do when I get to the location of the limbs is pull the pin from the tow position and slide it in the running position, no tools needed, and it’s ready to go!

Great for the Champion Power Equipment 200905 3-Inch Portable Chipper-Shredder. The Chipper handle is 40″ from the ground with a 1″ round handlebar and 1/2″ axle. The towbar accomodates the 1″ handlebar just fine and the bracket that connects to the chipper axle looks to be able to handle up to 3/4″ axles. The Champions 1/2″ axle is a little sloppy but works just fine. The adjustable bar length that tilts the machine while towing has a range of about 19″ to 29″. In my setup the tractor hitch height was made to be 11″ from the ground which made the towbar adjusting length to be 24″, about half way from either extreme to get a comfortable tilt for the chipper. To get about the same tilt when the tractor hitch height is 14″, the towbar adjusting bar length looks to be about 21″. The shorter the towbar adjuster, the more is the chipper tilt. The only negative thing when it come to mating this towbar to the Champion chipper, model 200905, (and it is not true negative) is that since the chipper hopper handle is not centered between the wheels, the towbar axle connection is shifted to the left and the towbar handle connection is shifted to the right so it is not picture perfect but in terms of functionality, it works out even better in that while towing the machine, there is little movement left or right due to vibrations while towing. The chipper seems to follow the tractor without issues. I would have like to have seen a better way to adjust the rod length without tools or to make the connection to the machine easier but that would be nit-picking to much, I think. For the price, it makes part of my life much easier moving the chipper up a hilly wooded area and I am very happy with it.

THE DEVICE IS WELL MADE , sent a detailed list to customer support of missing hardware fittings most were missing AND I RECEIVED O fittings O reply . I inturn bought my own fitting THEY SUCK !

Finally got this out of the box and assembled. Missing one small piece which was promptly replaced. But sadly doesn’t fit on my wood chipper (Landworks). Plus it’s just a few pieces of bent steel, seems over priced to me.

This is a follow up to my initial review (below). I wasn’t okay with the way this tow device fit so loosely to the handle and axle on my Predator chipper. So I used uxcell foam tubing to cushion both connections and I’m happy with the result. For the axle I used 12mm ID/22mm OD, and for the handle 20mm ID/30mm OD tubing. Easily cut to length. Snug but a few taps with a rubber mallet set the connection with zero damage. Much better.————————————–What a disappointment! First of all, when I brought the package into the garage, two clevis pins and a bolt (part #4) fell out of the box before I opened it. The nut for part #5 is missing. There are 5 washers, none of which appear on the “installation” (should be assembly) instructions. I need to be able to tow my Predator chipper with my mini-tractor, but my experience with this device is such that I’m sorry I paid more than $30 for it. And with the way this is designed, I’m sure it will damage my chipper over time because of how loose and metal-metal the connections are.There was no packaging material in the shipping box. Nothing but one thin layer of plastic bag wrap between metal and cardboard. I’m surprised the box didn’t have more holes in it.
