The stepper motor arrived full of oil and the plastic housing was dirty and had some grass and debris.I paid for a new one so I expect a new one. I will be returning and getting a new one.It comes with instructions and a diagram of the valve body so that is actually very useful. The part number stamped on the body doesn’t match the box, I’m not sure if this is normal or not I guess I will find out when I get another one.UPDATE:I received the exchange part and the numbers stamped on the solenoid are the same as the one I returned so it appears that that’s normal. There was some oil on the solenoid but they might apply this at the factory to avoid corrosion I imagine. Thankfully this new one had no grass or debris.Installed and it seems to work ok for now fingers crossed 🤞 it doesn’t fail any time soon.
