BofaDeez –
I bought this radiator, but I was definitely skeptical. The cost compared to other places was more than ideal. This was also the first time I’ve replaced a radiator by myself. I will avoid paying a shop to do something I cam do myself. Saving is the game. The replacement radiator showed up on time, no issues there, took all of 1.5hrs to remove the old one and installed the new. This was 5 days ago. So far so goof. No problems with it as far as I can tell. No leaks and the truck doesn’t overheat. That’s all I had hoped. Thanks

I thought it was to big when I got it but it fits well in the truck so happy quality is great and the money for this was worth

Consider this as an emergency replacement only! To be clear, because the “Big A” has a habit of lumping reviews of unrelated products together, I am writing specifically about “AUTOSAVER88 Radiator Compatible with 2004 2005 2006 2007 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, 2004-2009 Dodge Ram 2500 3500 5.7L V8 ATRD1051” and my experience with it in a 2004 Ram 1500 4×4 Laramie Edition with 5.7l and factory towing package. I expected a certain level of dissatisfaction at this price but my expectations were not low enough. 1. This is a single-row radiator, half the thickness of my leaking stock part. 2. With the original rubber frame isolator installed on the right end, the mounting holes would not line up with the truck’s radiator support bracket – i.e. it sat “tilted” slightly counterclockwise – and I had to omit the isolator to install it at all. 3. The inlet and outlet pipes are slightly smaller in diameter than stock, enough to be worrying although so far (30 minutes run time) they aren’t leaking with the stock spring clamps; I have gear clamps on hand in case the hoses do start leaking. 4. The integral supports for the transmission cooler lines are too small in diameter: Both snapped when I tried to force the tubes into them; luckily they didn’t crack the actual radiator tank. 5. Although the radiator appeared to have been well packaged, the overflow nipple was embedded in the foam surround and was snapped off either in transit or when I took the rad out of the box. I adapted with JB Weld but whether that will last is anyone’s guess. The one positive I have is that the original radiator cap fit. TAKEAWAY: I’m giving it 3 stars only because I was able to make this thing work and had no other option, otherwise it would’ve gotten a single star. My most optimistic hope is that it will last until spring. Assuming it doesn’t fail I don’t expect the truck to overheat in the wintertime, and I don’t want to replace it in the snow (again), otherwise I would’ve returned it for a refund and ordered something else.
