Very easy install in my MR2 spyder. Didn’t have any issues with the hood not aligning properly initially, make sure to mark the bolt locations on the hood before removing it to install the bracket. However after a couple weeks I did notice that the sides of the hood are much more raised than the fender line. It isn’t a big deal, a few mm, but something to note. So much easier to open and close the frunk now. Great quality for the price. Highly recommend.

Produit s’adapte très bien pour nos MRS.C’est mieux que d’origine, on ne sent plus le capot moteur lorsque l’on le soulève.Il y a rien à dire

I am in a wheelchair and opening hoods is not my strong suit with one hand keeping my balance while the other lifting the hood I am missing one hand to put up the lift arm but these cylinders do the trick. Hood lifts up without issue. Even goes up higher for anyone wanting a little more clearance under the hood to work. Perfect for any person out there tired of dealing with bend lift arms. Bolted in and done in 30min while taking my time.

Came on time. And only took about and hour to install. There are well worth the price. And I don’t have to lift that heavy hood anymore.

I use the trunk in my MR2 constantly and it was really difficult to open and prop up with stuff in your hands. This is exactly how it should have come from the factory. You do need to trim the plastic liner around the edges so that the hood will close properly. I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel and liked the results. Been working fine for a month now, used almost daily.

The price and ease of installation can’t be beat. No need to drill holes, simple bolt on installation.Fit my 05 Tacoma with no issues. Only thing is that l had to change the bolts to fit flush, the stock bolts had a flange and made the bracket turn when closing the hood.

It does the job it’s supposed to do! Awesome. I think it shoulnd’t be around $80 though, but more like $50-$60 ish but overall great. We will have to see how long it lasts (Date Installed: 09/03/2023)

Hello! Works as it is supposed too. The one thing I found is that the ball socket at the top of the piston rod is slightly angle and this did not need to be. Straight would have worked a lot better. After installing the hood brackets with the ball attached and the balls to the fender, with the ball socket angled, I had to remove the hood bracket, attach it to the angled piston ball socket and then remount the hood bracket on an angle to accommodate the angled ball socket. All works fine, it is just weird that the top of the strut is angled.

the pins are tricky to put in on one side, because the body of the truck got in the way of turning the pin into its locked position. I was able to put one end on then pivot the other end into position. Tricky, but it worked. I like the spirng-style, but will reserve judgement on the locking-pin style. Overall, it was a twenty minute install with a helper, start to finish. Not bad. The hood lid now lifts easily and securely into its upright position.

Great customer service, makes working on car a lot easier

Pretty easy installation. Was able to do it by myself but when you remove the bolts from the hood make sure you hold the hood so it does not slide and hit your windshield. The only difficult part was the bolt that was under the windshield wiper line. Works really well and is much stronger than it probably needs to be. This install was on a 1994 Toyota Celica GT-FOUR (ST205).
