The result is a cleaner front end with fewer bug splatter and paint chips. Its medium-profile, off-the-hood design allows for easy cleaning and waxing while maintaining a sleek, aerodynamic appearance and installs easily with the included pre-applied 3M automotivegrade tape or mechanical fasteners. After looking at them all I picked this one because it’s the best shape and fit for my ’99. Now, installed I can see I was right. It looks cool and no trimming required. The only think is the mounting hardware. So what comes with it…nope. It wouldn’t work at all on mine and even if it had it would be way too flimsy for my liking (the screws are plastic.) So, as others have said your two options are:1) Sheet metal screws (get ones that are small enough they can’t go through into your upper hood and do NOT try and drill a pilot unless you have a small bit that again, will not go through the outside of your hood.2) Get some plastic pop rivets! I found some at Ace that only needed minor trimming on the sides and they work awesome! After I installed it with four of these I didn’t even bother with the sheet metal screws. (See pics of pop tab below.)For piece of mind, when the hood is down I don’t think it could come off but still…go with a better mounting option than what comes with it.So, even though you really do have to figure out a better mounting option it’s still the best shaped visor out there and considering the price it’s not too big of a deal to do a little work on the mounts.

Easy install, looks great, and long lasting! I live where there are 4 seasons with snow in the winter and 100’s in the summer and this Bug deflector handled the conditions well! The main purpose for buying was to cover up a dent on my rig, but it deflects bug well too! Just as one would expect, I am very happy with my purchase.

The holes in the visor lined up with the factory holes on my 2000 4runner limited’s hood and the plastic push pins to mount it worked fine as well. Made of a pretty solid feeling plastic, but we’ll see how it holds up in the cold.

Sadly, this bugflector doesn’t cover the tips of the fenders, it only covers the hood. It’s short of doing the job properly. But it installed easily. The adhesive bumpers don’t stick well and are too small, but, they’re just good enough I guess. It is what it is.

Replacing and old, faded one and this worked perfect. I like the lower profile of this new one. No issues or complaints.

Give some protection to my 3rd Gen 4runner hood. But it actually looks good too.

Not even an AVS logo included so I’m to believe it’s an absolute FAKE …. Buyer beware How am I suppose to know this is authentic? Feel like I got ripped off

I’m 70+ female and it was Super Easy To Install ~ ~ The one I had before had broken after many years ~ been driving this awesome rig for 25 years (next month) ~ I have 316,542 miles on it and there has been MINIMAL repairs ~ you know ~ Timing Belt, Rear Seal Leaked, Changing Spark Plugs and Wiring ~ need to replace Rear Shocks but doing that soon…. this rig has bounced around a lot of miles and pulled an 8×5 Fully enclosed Aluminum Trailer to Texas/Colorado and back to Oregon ~ but a great 3400 engine ~ was told it was of the best they put in these !
