This seemed pricy and I almost didn’t order it. Planned to look at it and send it back if I didn’t love it. I had no idea it screws into place. They should post a pic of the business end of this thing. I’m giving it 5 stars b/c it exceeded my expectations and it’s rare to see anything built this well these days. This thing is amazing! Well worth it. Built like a tank. Very heavy. Built to last a life time. The gentleman who gave it a 1 and was bashing those of us buying an expensive no spill funnel has obviously never driven a car that requires $12 a quart oil. A few BMW oil spills avoided over the first 2 oil changes (my average) and this thing will pay for itself in oil waste savings. Not to mention not having to clean up after spilling oil on the engine and the damage oil does to the paint on your valve cover gasket. Order it! You won’t be sorry.

This is my second one (going to a friend as a gift)Okay, so yeah… this is a 50 dollar funnel. People think I am crazy for spending this much money on a funnel… even the comments on this product from people who don’t own it, like to dog on it.I will tell you this. If you lease you cars and always have the service contract with them… then ditch the car after two-three years… no need. In fact you are probably the person who wouldn’t dream of doing any car work yourself anyway.I have three VWs. I do all the maintenance myself. I hate cheap funnels… rarely do they fit properly and rarely are they mess free. This fits all my Volkswagen’s and makes refilling the oil a breeze. It absolutely minimizes the mess or drips and allows me to dump a quart at a time while I prepare the next bottle. I don’t have to worry about it tipping or anything because it secures to the engine with a confident 1/4 turn. The funnel itself will hold over a quart of oil if you are really trying to hurry.Yeah, I used to fill my cars without funnels and those usually went just fine… but, this is just easier. It gets a lot of use from my own cars as well as my friends when they bring theirs over to do their oil. Everyone who has used it says the same thing “Man, I wish I had one of these”. Most of them don’t want to spend the money (understandably), however a couple of them ended up getting one.The funnel is plastic and very sturdy. The connection is CNC and anodized aluminum. Its meant to be used a lot and its meant to last a lifetime. The only real cons is price and that you cant fit it to every make and model. If you have only one type of car that fits this funnel… I don’t think you should bother. If you are a professional garage mechanic or a guy who just does a lot of oil changes… you may want to consider this. Extremely mess free and it will never break on you. If you have cars that will all fit one size funnel, its even better… however if you have a Ford, VW and maybe a Fiat…. this wont be a good solution (for you shade tree guys out there).

Awesome! Makes filling oil so much easier and mess-free. Totally worth it.

It wasn’t easy spending this much for a funnel, but I spilled a little bit of oil on my last oil change, so that’s the excuse I needed. I have funnels but none of them fit the 2.0 very well. If you are considering the similar but lesser expensive Audi plastic funnel take a look at the bottom that seals against the valve cover. This one is CNC machined aluminum. That’s what sold me. Yes, it’s overkill, but it’s such a great design. I highly recommend it. It makes an unpleasant task a little more fun.2011 Audi A4 Avant Titanium

Great for topping up and oil changes!Fits well and good quality

So yes this is way expensive for a funnel, but now that my car is out of warranty I am going to do my own oil changes and I see no good way to not spill oil allover the place. The valve cover in my Audi has no spacing for a tradional funnel. One would have to hold the tradional funnel with 1 hand while pouring with another. This thing is built to withstand professional mechanical use and is made in the USA!It fits my 2014 Audi S4 with a V6 3.0 TFSI perfectly and securely.I did also try it on a 2016 VW Passat SE 4-cyl 1.8l TSI engine and it did NOT fit that car’s engine, although its not an issue as I will only be changing oil on the Audi right now.

It is a perfect tool for someone who is frequently adding oil to the engine or doing oil changes. Very durable and easy to use. Once locked on, it doesnt leak oil anywhere except directly into the engine.

Wow. Solid build, works flawlessly with BMW. My oil change was effortless. Like a previous buyer commented, since my warranty is finished having this will help me do my oil change quickly and without a mess.

Frustrated by the baffled oil fill on my 1.4 liter Audi I went looking for a locking funnel to make adding oil easier and cleaner.Total overkill for the job at hand, this funnel delights me to a level that doesn’t make sense. It has the heft of a striking weapon, fits the engine perfectly, and is big enough to make pouring easy. The price, which makes no sense given my application, can be justified given the quality of manufacturing and the likely small production numbers over which the design had to be amortized. That said, this thing is so overbuilt that I’ll easily be able to sell it on when I’m done with it.

As most assenmacher products this funnel works flawlessly and is of good quality construction.

Replacing engine oil is a neat, clean task now after using my new Assenmacher Specialty Tools OFAUD 1000 oil filler funnel. Last night I used this tool to replace the engine oil on my BMW without spilling a drop all over the engine, for the first time in 15 years! This solves two problems simultaneously: avoiding a , messy ,tedious, oil spill clean up of a neat, clean engine, and prevents wasting expensive synthetic engine oil. You will be very pleased with this addition to your existing tools because it’s worth every penny!!

I thought $52.00 was kind of steep for this product but I used it on my Q5 and now I don’t feel too bad about paying $52.00 for this funnel I wish I had found it sooner! Built very sturdy I will use for life. ($40 would have been a more decent price point though)
