My daughter’s car is slightly older, so it has a few minor problems. Keeps throwing up an error ‘check engine’ we had no idea what it’s doing this, taking it to my local garage they want $230 just to run a simple diagnostic test. Did some looking online and buying an OBD2 code reader, I have bought one in the past but nothing like this one from Ancel. This scanner is great for figuring what’s wrong with the car the amount of detail. Was amazed at what this tool can do.Once I plugged the OBD2 scanner into the car in a matter of a few minutes the scanner was able to detect the problem. It was the fuel pump. We needed to reset the electrical parking brake (EPB) was able to do this as well, in a matter of a few clicks. So this scanner has now paid off for itself as saved me a ton of money by not having to bring the car into a shop.It’s also a great tool to make sure the mechanic is being truthful, as it tells you in real-time what’s wrong. Have a check engine light on? Don’t worry this scanner can turn it off and it stays off! This scanner is the real deal I am so happy with it.All cars over the year 1996 will have an OBD it’s usually underneath the steering wheel or near the ashtray. The number of codes and data analysis it pulls from the vehicle is insane! It does cost a little bit of money but in the long run, will save me the money takes up little to no room. I domt need a power source to use it (the car will need a battery) build quality A+ it has a rubber-like coating on it guessing for falls and wear and tear.I have now been using it with all my friend’s cars and family, so definitely putting it to good use. I like how the user-friendly interface is not complicated.

j’ai acheté une e46 dont je ne connaissais pas le passé et avec plusieurs problème.L’outil scan fonctionne bien (plutôt vif), mode français disponible, mise à jour simple par le site.les codes s’effacent bien, et on a accès aux données de beaucoup des capteurs.Cependant, je pense que un outil moins cher pourrait surement affiché les même performances. Achetez celui la si vous n’avez pas envie d’en tester/de galérer avec 4 ou 5 outil scan avant d’en trouver un bon pour économiser max 40 euros.prenez le BM500 si votre utilisation s’arrête aux scans et vérifications des données de chaque capteurs, le bm700 est utile que pour des applications bien concrète.

Bought to register battery on my 2018 BMW 330i. Seems to have worked as advertised. Dealership quoted $230 just for the registration plus battery and labor. That’s over $600. For $149, along with all the other features for future use, this is a good investment. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is simply the fact I just got it and haven’t played with it, but could definitely be a 5 with time.

Bei meinem BMW Z4 (E85), ein reines Sommer Männerspielzeug welches nur bei absoluten Schönwetter betrieben wird, leuchtet regelmäßig im Frühjahr die Warnleuchte für ABS und DTC Fehler auf. Auf Dauer ist es mir einfach zu aufwändig und auch zu kostspielig um den Fehler wieder löschen zu lassen. Mit diesem Scanner konnte ich heute den Fehlerspeicher tadellos auslesen und den sporadisch auftretenden Fehler (kurzzeitiger Kommunikationsfehler Sensor vom vorderen Hauptbremsdruck Zylinder) problemlos löschen. Genauso habe ich mir das vorgestellt !

I bought the BM700 scanner to resolve problems that occurred after installing a new battery in my 2014 BMW 335ix GT. The scanner worked great, and it was easy to navigate to the battery registration. It also cleared the numerous fault codes that were set when I drove the car after installing the battery, before I learned that you MUST register it into the car’s memory first. It more than paid for itself by allowing me to install the battery without going to the dealer. The scanner is well built, easy to navigate, and should prove useful for other diagnostics and code resets moving forward. It is definitely designed to be used on BMW’s.

Right out the box, this is worked perfectly! Once I connected the reader to my BMW X4 and went through the very user friendly configuration steps, it cycled through and provided me with the error codes.Excellent product!

I delayed myself so long but this unit was fairly easy to use and it removed the oil change code on my 2012 bmw x5m…. I keep it in the car so if it ever goes in limp mode I can just plug it and run the scan…I love it though

While it effectively reads most basic codes, not all codes are identified, and some cannot be reset using this scanner.For the price, it’s a fair option for casual backyard mechanics who just need a quick way to check engine lights and diagnose minor issues. However, if you’re doing serious repair work, you might want to invest in a more robust diagnostic tool with greater functionality.Overall, it’s a decent budget-friendly scanner, but don’t expect it to replace a professional-grade tool
