Worked great on my 2009 Silverado. The seals on these must be going about the same time as there are a lot of posts recently appearing about this part failing. Mine had been collecting water for a while as seen from rust stains inside the old one. As a note, once installed, you should get code P0602 Powertrain Control Module Programming Malfunction and your truck will not run until this has been programmed. I had to get a tow truck to take the truck to a garage with a programmer and it cost an hour of shop labor. Amazon part checker confirmed it would fit my vehicle and with Prime was the cheapest place to pick up the part. They did programming and vehicle has working fine since. Also, does not come with bolts. I went to hardware and picked up some 10×1 Fender Washers, Lock Washers, and Metric M6-1.00×20 bolts. If you went through the pain of getting the old one off there, you know there is no way you are using those old T30 torx bolts to reinstall it. Also, I applied additional Permatex sealant to perimeter of metal back and used Permatex Item 81153 pressurized can of dielectric grease to the whole bottom of where the electrical connector attaches about an 1/8″ thick.

The part worked but it would be veryy helpful if it would say that it needs dealership programmed to even work otherwise your vehicle WILL NOT start

My SUV works better than before. Price was great compared to other places especially the Dealer. Shipping was fast. Can’t beat the price and performance. Will need to program at the dealership unless you can find and outside mechanic who has the software to install programming for the module. My Cadillac Escalade Hybrid was stalling since these modules tend to be defective from stock. Some SUVS qualify for recall and replacement for free at the dealer. Good item.

saved $150 not going to the local part store and $225 not going to the dealer. Exact replacement for 2007 Chevy Silverado WT, do have to get software programmed to it when did this found out that GM themselves had a software update for this same module and my mechanic says the update alone might have remedy my problem But did not know this cause GM does not send out a bulletin on maint./program updates only on recalls that are safety concern to keep them from getting sued. Maintenance they make money off of Bastards! Since i had got for less than $90 i had it installed anyways maybe go another 10 years no problem.

Worked perfect for my 2008 tahoe, it fixed it! The next day I needed a new engine lol, lifters were shot. Just my luck.EDIT: here I am exactly 2 years later and it took a dump… it is -1° and that did it.

Our module went out and we bought this and had our mechanic put it in. It has been five months and the module is already shot. We thought it might be something else electrical, but after having our mechanic chasing wires for three weeks it has been determined that it’s just this module. Bought one somewhere se and had it installed and car is working great! It is working better then when this module was first installed. Look else where for a module

After buying an off-brand module (which I normally don’t do), you can best believe I won’t do it again (I bought the last one from Amazon because I was in a pinch). I made sure this was Genuine GM Module. Flashed with Techline Connect and SPS2 quickly with no issues.
