have never changed this before, but i have had to remove the upper intake in order to change lifters and rockers, so it was just a little more extra work to remove the lower intake to get to the oil cooler. Cost at a dealer was $700-$1000 dollars to replace, so i had to take the gamble of doing it myself. Unit seems built pretty well. This was kind of an emergency repair after noticing oil all over the underside of my wifes Jeep because the original plastic oil cooler must have a crack somewhere. I didn’t want to spend $200 on the Doorman one, but i also didn’t want to get the cheapest one. This one was kind of right in the middle with a coupon for an additional amount off. Gaskets all fit as expected. The unit itself, i initially thought it wouldn’t fit. At first glance, it looks identical to the original besides being made of aluminum instead of plastic. But, it would not drop down into the valley of the engine. The old one lifted right out. Looking at the oil filter end, there is a port that has a plug in it, and the plug sticks out too far past the body of the unit and hits the block when trying to set the unit in place. The original one has the same port, but it is shorter and does not stick out. I had to angle it and put the oil filter end in first down further and slide it in place. Then it set right in place. Bolt holes all lined up. It is a good idea to get them all loosely started before tightening so it can “find” its final location. Durability and whether the oil leaked is fixed remains to be seen. I cleaned as much oil as i could, but there was so much underneath the vehicle that it is probably going to continue to drip for a couple weeks

So far it works just fine, it was installed 3 weeks ago. The delivery was great and on time. Thank you.

Had a leaking cooler. Found this at a great price. Includes 2 sensors that cost as much as the cooler. Even has all gaskets. Best option for this repair. Went right on with no issues. Working great 2 weeks in after repair was made. No more leaks.

Fit was perfect on my 2017 Jeep Wrangler, OEM plastic part was leaking, this part was perfect replacement, took longer to get to the part then installing it, all gaskets, seals and filter included, aluminum housing is how it should have been designed.
April Wennerberg –
Its the best solution for an original terrible design.Be forewarned, this is not a real easy repair. You will need a lot of patience, and an inch lb and ft lb torque wrench.I’ve bought my last Chrysler product.

It came with new gaskets for intake also. Fit and corrected the oil leak from the manufacturer’s part.Watch the YouTube video for replacing to get it replaced

Feels like a quality part, gaskets fit well, quick simple install. No complaints as of yet, will update if anything changes.

The hardware was all the same but one of the holes were smaller out of the six needed to bolt this down. Had to alter one bolt to make it fit. Does it work? Yes. Was I able to make it fit? Yes. Does it leak? No (not yet anyhow) But one star for having to make alterations for it to fit. Had to shave down a bolt for it to go into the hole of the housing.
