I have tried and tried again to find a way to move my 5 gallon bucket shop vacuum around the garage-woodshop. I made dollies, attached caster directly to the bottom of the bucket, etc. but end up having to carry it when I need it to clean up the shop. Should have checked Amazon at the beginning. This dolly is perfect. It rolls easily without tipping over. I love it!

As the title says I haven’t really used this much yet so I will review based on appearance & perceived quality for now.It was pretty easy to put together but had two wheels that needed a little persuasion, from a rubber mallet. It rolls smoothly & has two locking casters with the remaining being nonlocking. It has three bolts to lock the bucket in place. The only issue I see is the bolts have nothing on them to protect the bucket from being damaged if tightened too much.

It’s first worth noting that the 5 wheels must be installed, they slide right into a lock, but you have to use quite a bit of force to get them to snap into place–it’s also something to be said for the quality, because it’s very solid and rolls smoothly.I finally got a chance to order another one of these as a replacement for a similar set up I had a while back. After using the bucket caddy today to detail my truck, I am very glad I ordered it as it made moving all of my cleaning supplies much easier (granted, my foam canon soap reservoir unfortunately wouldn’t fit). The last thing you want to do while detailing or washing your vehicle is to keep bending to reach and move several different cleaning supplies–surprisingly, this makes that much of a difference.I have nothing negative to say about this other than the small-ish canister/container holders along the side, although my foam canon container is huge it seems to be about the only thing that doesn’t fit. Most things fit perfectly or well enough to be pushed around without falling out. The build quality is fantastic, holds nearly all my stuff and rolls very smoothly. I’m impressed and my back definitely agrees! And at this price, you can’t go wrong.

I work at a used car dealership where we sometimes wash half-a-dozen cars a day. My back has not gotten better with age and picking up a 5 gallon bucket of soapy water gets less appealing all the time. This bucket dolly is a back saver. A standard 5 gallon bucket fits in perfectly. There are also set screws included to lock the bucket in place too. This is nice for when you want to pick up bucket and caddie to go down a step or across a gravel parking lot. This thing feels like it’s well made. The plastic is sturdy and the unit is well designed. There are four different places to sit a bottle and a couple for sponges or whatever. There’s also a spot for a brush handle. The caddie has five casters rather than just four which makes it more stable and roll nicer. Two of the casters are locking. I do wish the casters were a bit larger for rolling over rough areas. The dirt settling filter is a great idea especially if you wash numerous cars. It’s easy to scratch clear coat if you wash with dirty water. The included wash mitt is a little small but is good quality. They also threw in a couple small squeeze bottles. They’re made like a glue bottles. I guess you could use them for soap or wax.All in all, this seems like a well made back saver.

When I first saw this, I was really excited. It seemed to answer many of the things that I was looking for in a car maintenance accessory. Holding a standard 5 gallon bucket is a great start. Almost everybody has a few of these sitting around and it’s a good size for most car washing jobs. The grit trap seemed like a good idea to keep your wash mitts and sponges out of the grunge that accumulates in the bottom. The problem is that the grit trap is a little too large to fit a standard bucket. If you drop it in, it doesn’t drop to the bottom and hangs up an inch or so too high. Then it’s lodged too tightly to easily remove without fashioning some sort of wire hook to snag it and pull it out. If you continue to push down, it actually manages to split out the bucket sides. I took mine to the router table to remove enough material so that it fits. The wing bolts to secure the bucket to the dolly are pretty useless. None of the buckets that I tried had walls thick enough to provide the strength to let the wing bolts secure the bucket so that you could lift the dolly by the bucket handle. This probably isn’t a huge deal as I’ll usually just wheel the dolly and bucket to where it’s needed. The compartments surrounding the bucket to hold soaps and cleaners are a good idea except that they of course fill with water and the containers begin to float in them. A few well placed drain holes drilled into them fixed that issue but the manufacturer could have thought of that.

It roll’s easy. Stable with the wash bucket on it. Only petty complaint is the round side pockets are small. Seems they only fit aerosol cans. It works well enough.

Product is great at first Use but about 2 months later the wheel bearings started to come out. Plan to replace the wheels in about 2 months time.
