I have a Mercedes ML430 AWD and the power steering pump went out on a remote and rural trip. Ordered a new pump on Amazon and this filter, didn’t have enough Mercedes Power Steering Oil to do the recommended flush, was concerned about new pump, when old pump went out it turned the power steering fluid black as oil.Installed this filter, new power steering pump and tiny amount of Mercedes power steering oil i had to bring it to full. Planned on flushing it when I got back to civilization.Arrived home about 500 miles later, this filter actually took the black power steering oil in the system and filtered it so good was a light honey yellow color like new fluid. From black to almost clear!Still did the flush and put a new filter on, but in over 50 years working on cars can’t say I ever saw a product perform that well. Definitely sold for life on these!Had I known it was going to turn black fluid clear, I would have definitely taken before and after pictures. When I installed filter I was hoping at best to reduce and remove larger particles to protect new pump till we got home. Never, ever expected a filter to actually filter it so fine it caused the oil to go from black to honey, color of new power steering fluid. Still amazed by it. Just “wow”!

Quality looks better than some others such as having the stainless steel. I had a truck the the fram oil filter that rusted by the seam and started leaking. I added it to the vertical return line hose of the power steering to the reservoir on my 07 CRV. The new pump still makes a slight whine noise but I doubt it’s because of this filter.

I installed a magnefine filter on my 2006 Honda Odyssey transmission line and I replaced it after 35,000 miles. ( I had 176463 miles on the vehicle at initial installation.) There was far less deposit on the transmission drain plug magnet than previously seen, much less by about 70% less buildup. I opened the used magnefine filter and saw a decent buildup of deposit on the magnet in the filter. The picture on the left shows the magnet when removed; the second picture shows the magnet & filter element and the third shows the magnet when cleaned off. I was very impressed with the result. I will definitely used this filter ALWAYS on my vehicles whenever possible. I do recommend this filter for transmission line. It does a very good job.May I mentioned that my transmission did overheat before I installed the first filter. At the time, when checked, a mesh about 8mm in diameter on the gasket for the lockup linear solenoid was fully clogged with fillings. By using this magnefine filter in the transmission line now significantly reduce the possibility of such build on the gasket again. I recommend this filter for transmission line.

Most Japanese transmissions do not have a filter element in the transmission but a strainer. My GX460 is exactly that, with known valve body issues this purchase will safeguard my transmission from Valve body debris.I install this filter on all my automatic cars since 2005 without issue.

I used this to filter the ATF in my 2005 Toyota Camry. How good a job it does I have no way to tell. I like it because it’s metal. Plastic ones are more likely to crack or break.

Better than OEM (06 CRV). Didn’t fit in the original bracket, but a stainless steel ring-clamp solved that problem.
