These are great to add to your straight hose adapter (or as a replacement) when space is tight. Easy to operate, push down with your palm and lock with one finger. And they give a tight seal when locked which some other adapters fail at.

It works!Two months back, I purchased an on-sale electronic pump for topping off my bike tires. But it was difficult to screw on the pump hose at that awkward angle. So I grabbed these on sale, screwed the male part onto the hose for my electronic pump (makes it longer) and clipped this onto my bike standard valve. Easy-Peasy. Makes the task just that much more convenient.P.S.: No Way am I going to pay for an air compressor at the gas station.

This is so much faster and easier than your typical screw on type connection. I have only used them a few times for airing up my tires and once to let the air out of a tire for repairs needed. Seems to be well made and the clip locks onto the valve stem well

Updating my review as I gave the 2nd adapter to my son and it didn’t work because the threaded end of the the adapter is too short to reach the rubber seal inside of twist-on chuck on his pump. I bought another adapter from a different brand and paid attention to the length of the threaded end and it works for him.Original Review:Does exactly what it should. The twist-on chucks are famous for losing a lot of air while you’re trying to remove the chuck and the lock-on chucks mostly solve that problem. I bought this adapter with the short hose instead of the adapter with no hose at all to allow a little more flexibility right next to the valve stem.I did notice that the rubber inside of the chuck looks more like silicon and it probably won’t take much abuse. Definitely don’t push or pull on the chuck while the lever is locked or even partially locked. I think doing so will destroy the rubber very quickly.

I screw these onto the hoses that are provided with portable air pumps, and they make it much easier to attach/detach from valve stems without struggling and losing air. I used two, and gifted two more. These make adding air to tires much easier.
