If you do any RV camping with stays more than a couple days and have full services – a dirty water trestle can make your life easier. We usually only need 15 feet of hose, but sometimes I need to use our 10-foot extension. I saw this 20-foot trestle and tried it out – here’s what I like:- The kit comes bound together with a quick release strap to keep everything together when not in use.- Some handling gloves and rubber keepers are included in the kit.- The accordion construction makes deployment easy – only a couple minutes are needed to have it fully set up.- The trestle is originally configure using gradually descending cross-braces to provide drainage. This should be okay for most campsites. The exception would be when the sewer connection is elevated more than a few inches.- Trestle cross-member height is adjusted by unclipping the supports and snapping them in at the desired heights.- When fully deployed, the dirty water hose fits in snugly. While there isn’t a lot of lateral support for the hose at its highest setting, the rubber clips keep it in place. Some comments…- The actual useful length was approximately 18ยฝ feet.- The gloves didn’t fit my XL hands – primarily, my fingers were too long. While a nice touch, in reality they are light-duty gardening gloves with some grip material applied to the palm side.- I couldn’t unclip the height adjusters with my fingers – I needed to use a needle-nosed pliers.- I didn’t see an easy way to unhinge the trestle – the hinges use a metal pin pressed into the plastic and look to break should they be forced apart.Overall, the kit is capable of supporting normal 4-inch dirty water hose for 18ยฝ feet. The height adjustment isn’t easy to use, but once set shouldn’t need much attention.

I was really surprised how thick and sturdy this support is. The sewer hose support I have been using is much thinner and flimsier than this one. This sewer support holds the hose up so much better than the old one. The old one is also rusting where it was put together with staples. This new support does not have metal on it to rust which is awesome because most of the time we take our camper to the beach and the salt can be hard on metal.I like that you can adjust each bracket individually if the ground is not level or if there are things in the way that keep the hose from being able to flow freely. I donโt like that the adjustment on each individual support will have to be popped out and popped back to the place you want it in if you wish to change it, this can take some time if you have to change each one so for a short vacation it really wouldnโt be worth it.It has a strap so it stays neat when you store it. Also they sent a pair of gloves and elastic straps. Overall though I think it is a nice support.

The days of those static-slopped dump hose supports are gone forever in my world. No more 2×6 wood chunks in the rig or picking up rocks in a campsite to be able to have a straight shot to a higher dump cap.The ease of making adjustments to this hose support is well worth the couple of minutes I spend getting it set up and hose into the ground.Figure out your angle (eyeshot) move the quick adjustments to fit your needs, drop the hose on, strap it in with a few of the included straps, and go on about your day. When it is time to break camp and if it was set up right from the start, there is no walking the hose to make sure it is empty. That’s it!I only wish they made a 30′ support, cause sometimes 20′ just ain’t enough. I’m ordering another one and I have a plan for a quick connect for two supports in those times of need.Well made and although there is some flex, like any tool, take care of it and it will last a very long time.Highly recommended.DKH

I have a long span drain hose and the wind was always blowing it over, the ability to set height and the flat bottom of the unit have helped keep my sewage line up right and uninterrupted.

Used this on and off over the course of 4 weeks (due to some campsites not having hookups) so it’s went through the paces of set up and tear down. Only once did we experience the whole thing tipping over, but that was in some pretty high winds. Super easy to adjust the length to match your distance to the sewer connection. We never kept our grey and black open, but we always hooked up sewer line upon arrival. This kept the site looking neat and allowed us to purge our tanks without having to “walk down” the material.Love that this comes with an easy to use buckle/strap to hold it collapsed. Easy to toss under the RV and go!

This hose supporter has been a game-changer. It prevents breakage and damage to our RV sewer hose. It is just as sturdy and good as the expensive ones at the camper stores.
The Daydreaming Travelers –
A piece broke off the first time we used this. Since then it has served its purpose but it makes me nervous its going to keep breaking.

Does not hold the tube when emptying the tanks. Cheap, thin plastic.
