I used this to replace a 20 year old Amp research controller that was wired to the door light switches directly. I was told to use the -STA from AMP after they originally told me to use the STB which did not work. Amp research was out of stock of their STA units and they are a long back order so I ordered this from Amazon. This unit is plug and play and works fine. My steps go up and down again. The Unit just zip ties to a mounting point like the battery cable or any hose. The Unit operates slightly different as the rise of the step on a door close is now about a 3 to 4 second delay. On the door open, the step goes down immediately. The real Old Amp research controller with the wire in the back was an immediate rise on door close. Can’t comment on the LED lights or the manual switch interface.Note the Photo is of the old Amp controller unit with wires out the back. The smaller (left) and the right is the Amp STB that was the wrong one they told me to buy initially that did not work.

Module did not last at all. Worked intermittently when it did work. Do not recommend
