First of all, I would say this alarm would be great for homes where the vehicle is parked in a visible area, like your driveway or the street where you can actually see it. But I live in an apartment building where our garage is across the street, so here’s the reason why I bought it:For my home! We live in a safe area, but this past holiday there have been a few break-ins during evening hours. I placed this under our main window, which is secure, but rarely large and something I felt could be viewed as a possible area of entrance.I will say this: it’s not the same as having a service, but it makes enough noise to wake up the family, and should give someone pause when trying to break in.

This alarm works great for what it is! I’m using it on my old VW bus to keep out vandals when I park it on the street, and it gives a warning chirp, and if you keep shaking or bumping the car it will set off and it’s loud! There really is no setup if you have a metal spot to connect it to, as it has strong magnets included. The remote can arm/disarm it instantly and it has not failed me yet. But know that the range is not great (I couldn’t disarm it from in the house). Also while it’s loud, you won’t hear it a block away unless it’s quiet outdoors. But it’s plenty loud when you’re near it. I also want to mention that since this is a small magnetic device, it’s portable! I am also using it on my electric unicycle and can arm it when I’m at a cafe and feel comfortable going to use the restroom knowing I’ll hear it if someone touches it. I think this would also be effective added alert security for e-bikes or even normal bikes in addition to a bike lock. It’s a great value and I recommend it.

This car alarm is seriously loud! When triggered inside the car, the 108dB sound is more than enough to startle anyone attempting to break in. It’s perfect for deterring theft, especially in areas where a sudden alarm would grab attention. The installation was super easy thanks to the magnetic design, making it convenient to place in different spots inside the vehicle. Even the smallest vibrations set it off, which gives me extra peace of mind knowing my car is well-protected.One thing I wish it had was a continuously blinking red light to create the impression of constant monitoring. That small addition would make it look even more intimidating to potential thieves. However, despite this, the alarm itself does a fantastic job. The remote control is sleek, feels well-built, and doesn’t have that cheap plastic feel that some other budget alarms come with. The range is decent, and I haven’t had any trouble arming or disarming it from a reasonable distance. With car thefts on the rise, this is an excellent investment for anyone looking to add an extra layer of security. The combination of loud sound, vibration sensitivity, and ease of use makes it well worth the price. If you’re looking for an effective and affordable anti-theft solution, I’d highly recommend this alarm—it’s simple, effective, and gives you that extra peace of mind!
