Pros:Purchased this remote start kit for my wife’s Honda Odyssey. I watched YouTube video and followed the instructions from the book came with it. It’s smart enough to program itself quickly. Finding and unscrewing the smart CPU under the dashboard was time consuming. But connecting and programming the remote device took 20-25 mins by following the instructions book.Cons: It came with long range antenna and wiring for professional installers. But there is no instructions where in the car screw and install this antenna for DYI project. I looked online but couldn’t any helpful video. Remote start is working like charm but getting extra distance with antenna would be more satisfying.Anyways, it’s highly recommended!!! If anyone installed the antenna already, please advise me where I can install mine. 🙂

No splicing, just plug and play. Pressing the lock remote 3 times activates the car. It takes some brains to flash the module and preform the sequence of steps to make it work. We go it on the first try. 1 hour start to finish. I love it!

Followed the instructions step by step and at the end it all worked like a charm. Although I spent most of the time just to get the access to the module. The video that they are referring do not make justice to the real work involved. There is no easy way to get access to module without removing the nearby modules. Just remove the other screw on bracket that holds the remaining modules and everything then will drop by to your workable area. Then its easy from there on. Hope that helps

It was a new unit but followed the directions to a T. The unit had problems reading the ECU but I could not get the car to start. After 2 weeks at the dealer they found the remote start had dumped voltage to the ignition module. $5k later they had to replace both sets of fuse boxes and wiring. It was an absolute nightmare because if a defect in the remote start module

The device functions like it is supposed to. The video makes the install look super easy. It was a bit more difficult than I though it was going to be.1. In my van there is an additional bracket/module that has to be removed to get the CPU bracket/module out. Once I figured that out the install was as easy as it could be laying in an awkward position where you can’t really get both hands up to where they need to be.2. They do not show you where to secure the module once the install/programming is done. There are a lot of moving parts down there, so if you are not careful you may secure it somewhere that the wires could get damaged. All in all, it seems to be a great product.

I was very skeptical of the product and how well it would perform. Still not a big fan of the flashing software.Installed on a 2014 Push Button Start Honda Odyssey.Hardest part was getting to the control module under the dash. Had to get some help as I could not contort myself into a position to see under the dash, use my arms, and not break my back.Once the module was loose and the T-Harness was connected, the programming should have been a breeze. All steps at the start were easy to follow and went well. Essentially plugging in the device, awaken the bus, and initial handshake with the Odyssey’s computer. Then you remove it and hook it to the laptop with the software installed. Instructions there were also clear and seemed fine. Return to the car, followed instructions to the letter, but on the last step you are to start the vehicle for 15 seconds, then press and release the brake pedal and the lights will flash green. The lights never flashed. I tried that step over again a few times, but it would not work.I had to look online for ways to reset the box, but I couldn’t find a reliable method. I eventually ended up hooking it back up to the computer and using the software to “Add a new module”. This let me configure the module for the exact year and specifications for my vehicle and did the initial flash of the software. Once that was done, it was back to square one with the instructions: handshake, programming, final steps. Still no green lights when using the brake pedal.I decided there must be something interfering with the programming. Essentially you are training the module to mimic the engine start steps. The step that seemed the most out of place was opening the rear hatch with the OEM remote. I reset/flashed the module again and repeated all steps while omitting the hatch open procedure, and BINGO, green lights.I shut off the car, locked the doors, pressed the lock button three times and it started right up.I don’t know if others have had a similar issue, but that seemed to be the entire problem. My wife is very grateful for the addition, especially with the weather not above freezing for over a week.

The next cheapest option I had at a local store was $400, and a 2-way option is at least $600. Do I wish I had 2-way, maybe. Could the distance for starting it be better, sure. But for $200 I was able to easily install this myself with the help of YouTube and this company’s video in less than 30 minutes. And now I’m suffering less every morning in Chicago winter.

My wife has been asking for a starter for a while now. This as super easy to install and setup! So long as you’re okay working in tight spaces it is effortless, and programming is very straightforward.

This is by far the easiest to do. Some have had issue with BCM failures…. Disconnect the battery BEFORE unplugging the BCM for install. No voltage spike, no failures, no problems. 20 minute install time, 5 minutes to flash the update. Love it.

Bought for my wife for Christmas for 2014 Honda Odyssey push button start. My son connected everything all within an hour with easy instructions. Works great! Starts with existing key fob by pressing the lock button 3 times. Highly recommend and great price.

Easy to install, way cheaper than paying to get it put in somewhere. Does the job.
